Cue Club 2 Update

Hi everyone,

We have been continuing to work hard on the game and have a nice new update today with more fixes and improvements.

Added new 'Low-light' table lamp setting with high vignette. There are now 4 brightness settings (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). See Options > Display Settings > Special Effects > Lamp Brightness.

PLEASE NOTE: Existing users may need to adjust to their preferred setting after the update.

Nominate pocket and balls option in 8-ball are now linked together.

Foul on US 8-ball break shot now gives ball-in-hand behind the headstring to your opponent, and ball played should be the other side of the headstring.

Fixed a bug in multiplayer that very occasionally caused a game to go out of sync.

Fixed a bug in multiplayer that could block the game when a draw was reached in snooker.

A.I. Players can now be turned off from multiplayer lobby. See Options > Match Settings > Multiplayer.

In offline mode A.I. players, if enabled, will now appear in the multiplayer lobby.

Loading times (which are already very fast) have been made even quicker.

Moved 'Saved Shots' option to Main Menu.

Restructured 'Display Settings' menu with new sub-categories.

Switched mapping of left and right cursor keys to move camera, to work in the same way as when zoomed out.

Fixed statistical errors on opponent info screen.

Visual improvements to main menus.

Other minor fixes and enhancements.

Thanks again for the support and feedback, more cool stuff on the way soon. :)

Cue Club 2 Update

Hi everyone,

Following some very useful feedback we've just added another good size update today with further improvements and fixes.

  • Added a rule option to nominate ball and / or pocket for each shot in 8-ball pool. See Options > Rule Variations > US 8 Ball.

  • Fixed a bug in multiplayer that occasionally froze the mouse pointer when switching turns. This was a hard issue to pin down and so thank you for your patience while we solved it.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented a snooker or speed pool Steam leaderboard score updating if it did not qualify for the the in-game leaderboard.

  • The cue is now always removed from the table when in-game menu is activated.

  • Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the cue to re-appear in the wrong position when cancelling a menu.

  • Mapped WASD keys onto cursor keys, which rotate the in-game camera.

  • Updated controls menu screen.

  • Improved rendering of table cushions, balls and cue shadow in 3D.

  • Camera zoom function now resets after each shot.

  • Other minor fixes and enhancements.

As always we really appreciate your support in helping us to constantly improve and refine Cue Club 2. More updates on the way soon!

Cue Club 2 Update

Hi everyone,

There's another new update posted today that focuses on improvements to cameras, with a few other fixes and enhancements.

  • New feature to stand back and walk freely around the table before playing a shot in 3D mode. Click the middle mouse button then use the left / right cursor keys. On game controllers press the left shoulder button then use the right thumb-stick.

  • You can now rotate the camera when the cue is in position, offering alternative views, and is useful for swerve shots. Use the left / right cursor keys or gamepad right thumb-stick.

  • Zoom feature has a higher magnification to make it easier to line-up long shots in 3D. Press the F5 key or click and hold the left mouse button, then tap the right mouse button. For game controllers click the right shoulder button.

  • Further updates made to multiplayer networking code.

  • Tournament trophies have been improved and re-rendered.

  • A.I. opponents play shots off the cushion with more realism, and are now a bit more likely to miss, especially on long shots.

  • Other minor fixes and enhancements.

Thank you for the continued feedback and hope you like these latest additions.

Cue Club 2 Update

Hi everyone,

Another good-sized update today, with some further improvements and fixes to the game.

  • The round aiming cursor can now go slightly outside the bounds of the table to allow shots to be played into the cushion, and also make it a bit more challenging to play straight shots along the length of the cushion.

  • The side view of the table switches back to the control panel faster, following a shot, so you can set up the next shot more quickly.

  • 3D balls are now rendered with richer colours.

  • Various speed performance enhancements have been made to the rendering engine.

  • Sound effects for very light ball collisions are handled better.

  • Further improvements have been made to match synchronisation in multiplayer.

  • Fixed a bug where clicking on a player's profile in multiplayer occasionally caused a crash.

  • Small fixes made to Polish language text.

  • 'Numeric Data' renamed to 'Shot Information' in Options > Display Settings > In Game.

  • Other minor fixes and enhancements.

Hope you like the latest improvements, and thanks again for your feedback and supporting Cue Club 2!
