How To Play: Basics
Hello all!
Today I wanted to give a little more of an in depth look at how the core gameplay of Explosive Odds works. As you likely already know, Explosive Odds is a multiplayer PvP game for 2-4 players. In the game players take turns cutting wires on a strange slot machine like bomb device called the BombSlot.

The goal of the game is to have the most money by the end of the final round. There are a total of three rounds and each round is played until there is one player left alive. At the start of each round a 20% cut of all players cash is taken and put into a pot. The winner of the round will get all the cash in the pot.
The BombSlot is composed of three wheels with eight symbols on each wheel. Each of these symbols is linked to a wire. During a round players will take turns picking one of the three wheels and cut the front facing wire on that wheel. Cutting a wire will earn the player some cash or, if you are unlucky, detonate. Picking a detonator will blow your robots head off and you will be out for the rest of the round.

Which wires are set as detonators you ask? Well, before each round all players will secretly choose one symbol on one wheel to be detonator. Players are given three random symbols, one from each wheel, to choose from. Additionally, if during the round another player picks your detonator and explodes you get some bonus cash for it! Just make sure to remember which detonator you picked, you get no reward for blowing yourself up. Only shame. Oh, and if by chance multiple players happen to pick the same detonator they will all have claim on it and all be rewarded. To make sure the number of detonators is always the same as the number of players a new random detonator will be chosen that no player has claim over.

That's not all though, each round players will get a number of different ability disks. These abilities introduce a fun bit of extra strategy and chaos to every round. But I'll save them for a future post.
I hope you found this helpful! Feel free to ask any clarifying questions you may have. Make sure to Wishlist Explosive Odds if you haven't already. Spread the word and share the game with some friends you'd like to see explode as well.
