Demo Update & New Title

Howdy shopkeepers,

We hope you're enjoying the demo! Today, we're bringing some changes to the Demo, that will mostly improve and fix stuff, but also add a new feature. Also, we will change the title of the game. But first, let's talk about the update.
Update notes version 0.0.210

Added
• Employees can now stock shelves
Changed
• Changed the logo
 • Changed the icon for assigning an employee to warehouse work
 • The player can assign an employee to stock shelves via the employee menu (a new icon was added)
Fixed
• Fixed an issue with nighttime lighting
 • Fixed a lighting issue after saving and loading the game
 • Fixed a lighting issue when starting a new day in the game
Improved
• Employees who stock shelves should now fully work with the save/load system
 • Improved the skybox during nighttime hours
 • Improved performance after loading a saved game
 • Improved evening lighting

As you will certainly have noticed (even without us pointing it out), we adjusted the title of the game and changed it from General Store to Supermarket.

Yes. Of course we are aware that technically in the Wild West there weren't any supermarkets, but stores and 'general stores' if they carry a variety of goods from food to tools and almost everything in between.

Yet that also means that the term might be historically accurate, but not so easy to understand. And since the general store of the Wild West is basically the granddaddy of modern supermarkets, we decided to call it like it is.
You own the equivalent of a supermarket. In the Wild West. Simple as that.

You will feel right at home with the updated demo, its added features, bugfixes and performance improvements.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Howdy shopkeepers,

with Wild West General Store Simulator SunDust, a label of Toplitz Productions, is bringing you a wild west experience, without the need of being a gunslinger! Saddle up and get a taste of what it's like to own and run the granddaddy of nowadays' supermarkets!

In Wild West General Store Simulator you're not only the shopkeep, but also the decorator, when you take care of your day-to-day business tryin’ to keep your account afloat, the shelves stocked and the doors open. Wrangle inventory and deal with travellin’ traders and fellow peddlers to keep your source of income from runnin’ dry. Give your customers a shoppin’ experience finer than Miss Molly’s fried chicken - from when they enter your esteemed establishment to the final cling of the coin at the register. Happy customers will be back as sure as a fly on a cow pie.

With a darn fine economy model workin’ under the surface, you’ll need to make the right prices for your goods and keep a sharp eye on what the folks as well as regulars want, if you aim to line your pockets with gold before you close for the night - and walk to your beautiful home overlooking the town. Use them hard-earned bucks, fins and dixies to grow your store, bring in new products or beautify the place with a fresh lick o’ paint. And if you grow tired of goin’ all solo, hire yourself a helper, or two. Or three. Just remember - out here, the customer’s always right and money talks.

Once the sun dips down, head back to your homestead, a place you can build up just the way you like. Kick off your boots, watch out for snakes, and rest up for the long haul. As they say, New York wasn’t built in a day, and before you know it, you're the most legendary storekeep this side of the great lakes.
