[p]Hey Survivors,[/p][p]A lot of players have mentioned feedback about the
character position and the feeling of
“bubbling” movement when walking or aiming. I want to thank everyone who took the time to report it and share their thoughts it really helps me make
Shatterland feel smoother and more immersive.[/p]

🧍 Character Position Rework
[p]I’ve reworked the
character camera and position system to make it feel more natural and closer to what you’d experience in high-quality third-person shooters.[/p][p]To achieve this, I took inspiration from
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, adjusting the angle, offset, and shoulder view to give a better sense of control and space around the player.[/p][p]This change should:[/p]
- [p]Improve visibility and aiming comfort.[/p]
- [p]Make the character feel better aligned with the crosshair.[/p]
- [p]Reduce the awkward movement offset that some players noticed.[/p]

🏃 Movement “Bubbling” Issue
[p]I’m also aware that some of you noticed
small movement bubbles a slight up-and-down or floaty feeling when walking or sprinting.
I’m currently working on
smoothing the character animation blending to remove that issue and make movement feel tighter, more grounded, and more responsive.[/p]

🎥 Devlog Video
[p]I explain all these changes and show the new setup in this video:

Shatterland one step closer to the experience I want to deliver for you all.[/p][p]See you in the wasteland,
Shatterland Dev[/p]
