Patch 17: Johnny Jetpack 2.0

[p]Hey heroes![/p][p]Enjoy the new update, which features TONS of gameplay and visual improvements that were much needed and/or highly requested. Enjoy![/p]
  • [p]Johnny Jetpack 2.0 - new movement, phases, abilities, attacks, everything is different! From spraying mortars to double rocket slam to ramping minigun, try it out and see for yourself![/p]
  • [p]Original Soundtrack - introducing 4 original music tracks created by Entropykk, replacing the placeholder music for some serious sci-fi vibes! Turn up that music volume.[/p]
  • [p]Graphics Overhaul - removed pixelation effect that was causing graphics to appear grainy and visually cluttered (by popular demand)[/p]
  • [p]UI Overhaul - reworked HUD to clean it up significantly, centering the most important elements and removing or fading out unnecessary elements entirely[/p]
  • [p]Movement Improvements - increased horizontal grapple range by 50%, increased momentum gains at high speeds, adjusted ground friction, and improved collision[/p]
  • [p]Combat Improvements - enabled automatic fire for all weapons, so you don't have to spam click! reworked slow time system (again) to automatically trigger when the bar gets full[/p]
  • [p]New Player Experience - redid the starting area of the game to make it more linear and less cluttered. Added an upgrade at the start so you can dual wield right away. Improved the vehicle sequence with a surprise attack from Johnny Jetpack! Reset progress from the main menu settings to experience the new intro.[/p]
  • [p]Kane the Rat - Kane now provides all upgrades, not just the black market, say hi![/p]
  • [p]Mission Info - fixed incorrect mission progress and added more useful information to missions[/p]
  • [p]Dozens of other bugfixes and improvements[/p]

Patch 16: New Weapon and Movement System

[p]Hey heroes![/p][p]This week's update is a major one! Try out dual melee builds, the speed multiplies damage mechanic completely reworked, along with huge improvements to the core movement system.[/p][p][/p][p]This patch includes:[/p]
  • [p]New Knife Weapon - stab quick and parry projectiles, now allowing for dual melee builds with the knife + katana![/p]
  • [p]Speed Multiplies Damage - instead of directly multiplying damage, which is hard to notice, speed now multiplies attack speed and reload speed! Now you can really feel when you pick up speed because the game feels drastically different.[/p]
  • [p]Reworked Movement System - higher speed and air control, tuned gravity and jump height, added more responsive impacts with audio and screen shake.[/p]
  • [p]Improved Parry - now you can parry Johnny Jetpack's rocket slam attack, spider bots and leapers while they air leaping at you, and even your own projectiles![/p]
  • [p]Balanced Combat - enemies now fire twice as many projectiles! (Don't worry, they deal less damage and have less health to compensate)[/p]
  • [p]Added infinite weapon spinning if you hold down the reload button (it's just fun, don't ask)[/p]
  • [p]Changed Overdrive Mode trigger to on grapple instead of shooting while sliding. This makes you more in control of when it triggers.[/p]
  • [p]Improved graphics for Space Tower, bullet trails, and slash and parry effects.[/p]
  • [p]Made damage numbers on the same enemy stack for less visual clutter.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed holes where you can fall out of the map. (2 in City Survival, 2 in Space Tower)[/p]
  • [p]Dozens of other bugfixes and improvements to gameplay, graphics, audio, and animations.[/p]

Patch 15: Momentum and Gunplay

  • [p]Easier Momentum - higher base speed, gain speed when jumping, and made it harder to lose speed in several cases[/p]

  • [p]Improved Wallrun - jumping off walls pushes you away and never kills your speed[/p]
  • [p]Enemy Balancing - increased late game enemy projectile speed[/p]

Patch 14: Fiery Speedometer

Hotfix: Tutorial and Performance

[p]Hey heroes, we just patched a hotfix for a few important changes. Enjoy :) [/p][p]Also, congratulations to the winners of the first Leaderboard Contest! F2P got an insane 900k+ run for 1st place, earning themselves a free Steam game of their choice.[/p]
  • [p]Added tutorial image - accessible through ? button in top-right of pause menu and upgrade select[/p]
  • [p]Fixed shock damage - shock damage was being completely ignored by all enemies[/p]
  • [p]New and improved Katana slash trail visuals[/p]
  • [p]Major graphics optimizations for explosions, enemies, combat, and even UI menus[/p]
