Patch 16: New Weapon and Movement System
[p]Hey heroes![/p][p]This week's update is a major one! Try out dual melee builds, the speed multiplies damage mechanic completely reworked, along with huge improvements to the core movement system.[/p][p][/p][p]This patch includes:[/p]
- [p]New Knife Weapon - stab quick and parry projectiles, now allowing for dual melee builds with the knife + katana![/p]
- [p]Speed Multiplies Damage - instead of directly multiplying damage, which is hard to notice, speed now multiplies attack speed and reload speed! Now you can really feel when you pick up speed because the game feels drastically different.[/p]
- [p]Reworked Movement System - higher speed and air control, tuned gravity and jump height, added more responsive impacts with audio and screen shake.[/p]
- [p]Improved Parry - now you can parry Johnny Jetpack's rocket slam attack, spider bots and leapers while they air leaping at you, and even your own projectiles![/p]
- [p]Balanced Combat - enemies now fire twice as many projectiles! (Don't worry, they deal less damage and have less health to compensate)[/p]
- [p]Added infinite weapon spinning if you hold down the reload button (it's just fun, don't ask)[/p]
- [p]Changed Overdrive Mode trigger to on grapple instead of shooting while sliding. This makes you more in control of when it triggers.[/p]
- [p]Improved graphics for Space Tower, bullet trails, and slash and parry effects.[/p]
- [p]Made damage numbers on the same enemy stack for less visual clutter.[/p]
- [p]Fixed holes where you can fall out of the map. (2 in City Survival, 2 in Space Tower)[/p]
- [p]Dozens of other bugfixes and improvements to gameplay, graphics, audio, and animations.[/p]
