The Hacker Update

We're excited to announce a free update for Q-UP, live now! [/p][p][/p][h2][/h2][h2]The Hacker Update [/h2]
  • [p]A brand new hacker character who comes with their own roguelike way of playing the game! [/p]
  • [p]Permadeath. Race against the clock to rank up before being deleted.[/p]
  • [p]Drafting. Select every skill from a set of 3 random choices, so every hacker run will be a unique combination of skills. [/p]
  • [p]Steal your skills. The hacker's skills and signature abilities are stolen from the existing characters, allowing for crazy broken combos that frankly we haven't tested. [/p]
  • [p]3 Difficulty Modes. Normal, hard and impossible -- the game's hardest challenge yet! [/p]
[p][/p][h2]Other Changes[/h2]
  • [p]Quality of life changes including permanent Turbo speed unlock.[/p]
  • [p]Bugfixes and balance tweaks. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed several crashes, softlocks and disconnection issues. [/p]
[p][/p][p]This new mode is our personal favorite way to play the game now, it really tests your ability to juggle all of the game's different systems and understand how they work together to stay alive. For anyone that enjoyed the core game, we think the Hacker is the most fun and replayable way to dive deeper into Q-UP. [/p][p][/p][p]In celebration of this update and the holiday season, the game is also on a 25% discount! What we're working on

[p]Hey everyone!

Thanks again to everyone who played Q-UP. We feel incredibly privileged to have been able to share our unique vision with you guys and see it resonate with many of you. [/p][p][/p][p]A quick status report for the dev side: we're hard at work on an update that we plan on launching sometime before the holiday season assuming no development catastrophes. Some of the things this update will contain are: [/p][p][/p]
  • [p]A number of quality of life fixes, including an account-wide turbo mode unlock[/p]
  • [p]A number of bug, crash and softlock fixes[/p]
  • [p]A new game mode with a new character that represents a more replayable version of Q-UP.[/p][p][/p]
[p]Long term, we don't plan on having a constant barrage of content as if it were a real live service game, but we will continue to provide QoL and hotfix support as appropriate. [/p][p][/p][p]Happy flipping!

Minor Patch #3

[p]Hey y'all,

Extremely small patch today. Most of our hotfixes got folded up into the patch that went out on Firday, so this is just some small fixes.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Buffed Pro's RNGSUS skill from 10% chance -> 20% chance [/p]
  • [p]Doubled Q gain of Pro's Fatality skill at all levels [/p][p](We felt like Pro had a significantly harder time with Q losses than the other two starting characters during the back half of the game. These changes are intended to make climbing to Novice on the Pro easier. We don't expect them to make a huge difference in Novice League though, we'll discuss how we want to approach Novice League balance in a future patch.)[/p]
  • [p] Fixed the tooltip on FyreIce and IceFyre lasers to correctly represent their gameplay.[/p]
  • [p] Fixed several typos. [/p]

Hotfix Patch #2

[p]Hey friends, some more Hotfixes to address some of the big issues that can't wait for the weekend. [/p]
  • [p]Changed the effect of 39_CATCH_FIRE to make it harder to achieve a genuinely lobby destroying score in Novice League (Are we a real esport yet mom?) [/p]
  • [p]Changed the order in which Tenuki, Tesuji, Bishop, King and Knight trigger in order to be more consistent with other skills. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where Six of a Kind was not achievable in the recycling screen [/p]
  • [p]Fixed some typos [/p]
  • [p]Added clarity to some tooltips [/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where HOTANDCOLD was not correctly adding QMult from its upgrades [/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where isolated node pairs did not count correctly towards certain items [/p]
  • [p]Some other stability fixes[/p]

First 12 Hours & Small Hotfix

Hey coinflippers,

It's been a wild 12 hours for us here at EHG headquarters. Thank you so much to everyone for your support, we are thrilled that so many people are enjoying the game!

A few notes on what we're up to in the present and near future.

1. I'm deploying a small immediate hotfix now that fixes a bug where the Medic and the Robot could accidentally create infinite loops. Oops! This one does screw over other players in any game where the infinite loop is created so I wanted to get this fix out right away so no one's game is negatively impacted. I've just pushed the build, so the fix should be live now.

2. We're collecting bugs, crashes, typos and other issues through our discord and steam forums and will be pushing a larger hotfix patch to address as many as possible. This larger hotfix patch will probably take a couple days to a week unless we find any other game breaking issues.

3. Long term, once we get the immediate issues and hotfixes under control, we're going to look towards adding some additional content to the game. We're not sure yet what form this will take or how long it will take, but we'll have more information down the line. No promises yet, but the main thing we've discussed internally is looking at a mode that would be more focused on replayability.
