Update 1.00.5: QoL & Fixes + info

Hey everyone!

Thanks for your continued support and reports!

This is another bugfix update that takes care of a large amount of issues.
I've also added some slight QoL features that were requested in the past few days.

I have been asked about a roadmap with future plans so I will be making one sometime soon, where I will list my plans for some time ahead. However here's a short summary of the next few steps:
I will soon shift my focus entirely to 1.1 which will largely be a huge QoL update with skill tweaks, interface tweaks, improved anomaly layouts, wider language support, and much more!
And after that, I shift my focus to something bigger.

1.00.5:
Loot:
  • Swapping items between inventory and Stash now lets the Favorite mark take precedence (if either the source or target stack is favorited, the new stack will be favorited).
  • You can no longer transmute or drop favorited items, preventing accidents.
Interface:
  • Improved some skill descriptions and fixed some grammar errors.
  • Minimap scale now goes down to 50% (was minimum 100%).
  • Most UI elements have had their max scale setting increased from 300% to 400% to accommodate huge screens & resolutions.
  • Clicking a Grave in the Graveyard now autoscales the popup a bit to allow for larger numbers (and longer translations) to fit.
  • The unfinished stash icon feature I added by accident earlier (oops) now lets you loop the icons by right clicking continuously.
Monsters:
  • Plague Spinner spiders now spawn in Forgotten Chambers in Act 1 (they only appeared in Anomalies before).
  • Castle Guards now spawn in The Courtyard and Clairebourg Halls in Act 3 (they only spawned in challenge areas before).
  • Caecus Dolo (The high Priest) now laughs a lot less frequently during combat.
  • Lowered the damage of Fizzbang's skills (first boss Act 5).
  • Lowered the volume of all bats and rats high-pitched squealing.
Skills:
  • Poison Arrow is now called Poison Shot to further emphasize that it is not an "Archery" skills (Druid tree has no Archery skills).
  • Improved pathing and behavior of Seeking Arrow (Warden) so it should no longer get stuck.
World:
  • Improved spawn locations of some NPC's so they dont end up in walls.
  • Going into The Sacrificial Grounds and rescuing the Sorcerers without accepting the quest now auto-starts the quest upon rescuing them.
  • Anomaly hellfort layouts with a lot of dead ends have been made more rare (1.1 will bring improved layouts!).
Fixes:
  • Fixed Talisman of Spines not counting Utility skills.
  • Fixed Amulet of Despair not working with lower value slowing effects (such as 30% slows from Tangled Growth (Warden), etc).
  • Fixed the damage reduction from the Bloodbinder Set (Warlock) not working.
  • Fixed players doing more powerful attack grunts when using Utility skills.
  • Fixed Thornbough not always spawning in Thornbough Garden.
  • Fixed issue where on-hit effects such as "Smite" etc would trigger the diminishing return feature for the direct hit that trigered the Smite, causing it to deal less damage.
  • Fixed exploit with the Blood Explosion rune.
  • Fixed crash from Pylon beam spells.
  • Fixed Satellite enchants not being affected by dynamic crit rate chances, from buffs, passives, and powers like Jeopardy, etc.
  • Fixed Tesla (Templar) and other chain-lightning effects not working.
  • Fixed Widespread Inferno (Warlock) not spreading stacks (it does not add stacks by triggering, but now correctly spreads existing stacks to nearby foes with lower stacks).
  • Fixed being able to move bosses with Lightning Wyrms (Berserker/Codex).
  • Fixed game unpausing or sometimes even crashing when a controller is disconnected while the game is paused.
  • Fixed the Codex not recording deaths.
  • Fixed Mechanical foes not being affected by dots, debuffs, etc.
  • Fixed Diana Jones in act 4 saying the wrong lines after finding the key.
  • Fixed some area portals which play sounds as you find them playing these sounds on repeat.
  • Fixed some mobility/teleport skills such as Dragon Warp and Snow Blast not going the correct distance when using a gamepad.
  • Fixed scrolling in dialogue scrolling at different speed with different text scaling settings.
  • Fixed player dismissing dialogue with negative voice lines even if you had read it through.
  • Fixed getting stuck after talking to some act 5 npc's.
  • Fixed old GMS logo on startup.
  • Fixed crashes due to bad data in graveyard.
  • Fixed some overlay problems in the New Hero screen.
  • Fixed a missing text debuff from Act 5.
  • Fixed incorrect mouse shortcuts listed for selling x10 items.
  • Fixed crash when exiting Room of Abundance.
  • Possible fix for people who were unable to import their exported builds.
  • Another possible fix for the silly missing doors in Hellfort anomaly layouts.

This is another small update to take care of most of the recent issues, as well as adding some tweaks to overtuned monsters and such.

Combat & Monsters:
  • Adjusted the health of Captain Moore and granted him a new skill.
  • Adjusted the damage scaling of some bosses during story mode (before level 100).
  • Slightly lowered the damage of Oculus and Gazer enemies.
  • Removed the improved Bone Spear skills from the Oculus (now uses regular bone spears).
  • Mobility skills should now trigger "on move" powers and passives.
  • Changed the blood color of some act 5 demons.
Fixes:
  • Fixed some quest overwrite issues when playing in co-op with characters that are not synced in the story.
  • Fixed Moore just standing there like a fool and not using his throw and charge ability.
  • Fixed issue where Moore and misc Champions using the default "strike" attack would have a super short damage radius and mostly miss.
  • Fixed Embershield (Berserker) not playing sound effects when hitting foes.
  • Fixed Holy Blade (Templar) not passing through foes.
  • Fixed satellite enchants targeting untargetable enemies.
  • Fixed rare crash from certain twister/whirlwind effects.
  • Fixed issue where the Frostwyrm 4-piece set bonus wouldn't scale properly with other sources of damage reduction (and not reset itself correctly).
  • Fixed taunting companions with high cdr using nothing but taunts.
  • Fixed issue where if attempting to load a killed hardcore character that had been restored intentionally or accidentally, the game would crash.
  • Fixed some incorrect button shortcuts being displayed while in vendors.
  • Fixed crash from the Gazer boss in Anomalies.
  • Fixed Bone Thorns (warlock mastery perk) not working with all Bone skills.
  • Fixed achievement "Powers Beyond" triggering too early.
  • Fixed Codex holding a goblin enemy that does not spawn, preventing the Monster Hunter achievement.
  • Fixed non-living companions and enemies leaving blood on the ground.
  • Possible fix for the door in Hidden Cellar not unlocking after completing the event.
  • Possible fix for missing door in Anomaly layouts that are using the Hellfort with Temple tiles.
  • Possible fix for crash on startup in fullscreen on some Linux distros.
  • Possible fix for a low framerate problem that could previously be fixed by tabbing in and out.
  • Added many missing lines to localization.

Update 1.00.3: Fixes

This update fixes even more problems than before, and I'm not gonna keep jinxing things by saying we are almost done fixing again :)

Please let me know if you run into any more issues!

1.00.3:
Interface:
  • Barrier and Damage Reduction skills now correctly state that they lower/prevent direct damage, instead of "all damage" - indirect damage such as dots is not affected by DR and are considered being on the inside of barriers!
  • Using the Master's Set places a crown over companions, however if nametags are disabled this crown is now also hidden.
  • Improved minimap of Boinepits areas (and Anomaly layouts with these tiles).
  • Added description of Gibbing to help index.
Monsters:
  • Ooglers won't shoot firewalls at you from off-screen ranges anymore.
  • Ooglers deal less damage with their firewalls.
  • Firewalls now count as ground effects and can be mitigated with the "reduced damage from ground effects" stat.
  • Tweaked Act 5 boss stats somewhat.
  • Mutated Patiens now spawn in Lower Levels and The Dungeon (Act 3).
Fixes:
  • Fixed being able to use portal scrolls during boss fights in act 5.
  • Fixed being able to gamble Jon's Book of Souls.
  • Fixed issue where if you previously got stuck in The Molten Sea in a certain location you could still get s tuck in the quest chain, and not be let in into the Fortress.
  • Fixed frost satellites shooting through walls and with endless range.
  • Fixed being able to sell all items in a stack and then buyback the entire stack for the price of 1 item.
  • Fixed The Thundering Cave and Cavern of Insanity being super loud when you approach.
  • Fixed Achievement "Jones Would Be Proud" not triggering.
  • Fixed Ni saying "MISSING TEXT!".
  • Fixed the Codex incorrectly listing several monster spawns on The Test Chamber area.
  • Fixed some incorrect quest descriptions.
  • Fixed the stash eating favorited items on page 2 and up when hitting auto sort.
  • Fixed issue where optional room portals (stairs) could overlap in Fortress of Hatred - Depths.
  • Fixed using Auras, Heritages, etc that applied generic stat buffs on use overwriting other sources of said buffs (shrines, passives, etc).
  • Fixed Quickdraw (Warden) not working with Multishot or Scattershot.
  • Fixed issue where if you had The Golden Touch mastery perk, you would not be able to spring the trap for the optional quest "Hidden and Trapped".
  • Fixed not being able to exit the codex with (B) on gamepads.
  • Fixed invisible walls in the skull island Anomaly layout with the bone pits style.
  • Fixed weird lava tiles on wall tiles in Hellscape.
  • Possible fix for some anomalies having too few monsters.

Update 1.00.2: Fixes

Hey everyone!

Thanks again for the reports! This update should take care of all the larger issues reported since the last update, as well as a few other tweaks. As always, please let me know if you encounter any problems!

I am planning another update during the week where I will specifically target Linux issues, and one in which I will target some localization problems to help those of you working on translations!

Interface:
  • Korem's title is now "Guide & Skill Resets" because it as very unclear what he does!
  • Clarified the description of Lesser Rune of Thundering Avatars (it's their cooldown, not yours!)
Crafting:
  • Crafted items now always roll with perfect base stats.
Fixes:
  • Fixed a ton of problems with incorrect and missing texts, bad spacing, etc.
  • Fixed the Crater layout for Anomalies not spawning exits or sometimes layering exits.
  • Fixed Searing Burrow not spawning any monsters.
  • Fixed Seeking Arrow (Warden) not casting if you didn't have a target.
  • Fixed not being able to start Demon Hunter Semmy's quest if you didn't have the quest to find him first.
  • Fixed multiple issues with quest updates upon entering some late zones in act 5.
  • Fixed crashes from dialogue that could happen if you accidentally scrolled at the exact same frame as you interacted with the NPC.
  • Fixed not receiving the final quest from Death.
  • Fixed being able to enter the Fortress of Hatred before finishing the required quest.
  • Fixed Waypoint not spawning in The Molten Sea.
  • Fixed Molten Sea portals disappearing if the zone was reset or re-visited in a new session after obtaining the Guardians Quest.
  • Possible fix for lockups when entering A Dark Chamber and Storage Area.
