UPDATE: With Fallout 4's next-gen update just days away, the game's achievement unlocking issues on Xbox should now be solved

If you've watched all of Amazon's Fallout TV show by now, odds are you're either on the verge of - or already have - hopped back into one of the games in the series. You're certainly not alone in the regard, but if you've picked Fallout 4 on Xbox specifically, you might have run into the small problem of achievements just not unlocking.

Yup, while it arguably feels like the vast majority of the architecture, gear, and items featured in the show - alongside all those other references, easter eggs, and cameos - are specifically designed to get you to head back to Boston, Boston's not ready to reward you for coming back.

As a number of folks who've decided to emerge from Vault 111 again have been reporting (thanks, TrueAchievements), Fallout 4's achievements on Xbox aren't doing what they should be. It seems like this has been an issue since the final days of March, since which point, the poor Sole Survivors on Microsoft's console haven't been able to be thanked for doing things like saving Preston Garvey, or playing Atomic Command on their Pip-Boy.

Text Vault-Tec's number from the Fallout TV show to get a potential teaser for a November announcement

I sort of reject that the Fallout TV show has Easter eggs hidden in it because it, as a whole, is the equivalent of one of those fancy Hotel Chocolat ostrich-sized patisserie collection bastards that cost 40 quid. However. Eagle-eyed viewers of the Fallout show noted that episode 6 gives you a number for Valt-Tec that you can actually get in touch with - 213-25-VAULT (or, 213-258-2858). Charges apply, as well as international codes if you're outside the US, which makes it 001-213-258-2858.

If you text the number you get a reply from Vault-Tec saying "The next available appointment is 33 weeks from now, please stand by!" (handily captured by X user FanaticalGuy cos my response hasn't come through yet). And then the significantly less immersive "Reply Y to get recurring marketing and other texts from FallOut", which is quite funny. There is speculation that this is just a reference to Vault 33, the vault where main character Lucy was born and raised. On the other hand, 33 weeks from now is November, the month when both Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 came out.

Game-sized Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London has been delayed indefinitely by Bethesda’s incoming next-gen update

Fallout: London, the Fallout 4 mod set in a post-apocalyptic English capital that’s large enough to effectively be its own game, has been hit by an indefinite delay just two weeks from its planned release date. The reason? Fallout 4’s long-in-the-works next-gen update is now due to drop just two days after London’s planned launch date, which its fan devs say will “simply break” the ambitious project.

Yes, you can call that Vault-Tec number from Amazon's Fallout, but you might not like what you hear

There's a number from Amazon's Fallout series that can actually be called, only the person that picks up doesn't send all that pleased to hear from you.

Light spoilers ahead for the Fallout show.

Whenever there's a phone number clearly shown in a piece of media, the first question should always be "does anything happen when you call this number?" A lot of the time it won't lead to anything, as they're often fake, but sometimes production companies will set it up so that when you call the number you're met with a fun, in-world message. For example, actually calling Saul Goodman's number from Breaking Bad will net you a fake message from his office, which is a fun one. Amazon's Fallout series released just last week, and in the sixth episode there's a flashback featuring Walton Goggins' character performing in an ad for Vault-Tec.
