Fallout: London is basically free Fallout 4 DLC courtesy of modders

It's time to take a look at yet another mega-ambitious mod for a Bethesda game and dream of the possibilities. The modders behind Fallout: London have just released an extremely impressive trailer for the project, which promises a "DLC-sized" addition to Fallout 4 that explores a region rarely touched in the series' lore.

Fallout: London features a "condensed version" of the titular city that the devs say is similar in size to the vanilla Commonwealth map. The world'll be populated by the sorts of grim, satirical factions you'd expect from Fallout, right down to a group of folks who dress up in medieval armour and swing swords around.

But as for series staples like the Vaults, you should only expect to see them in much different forms - Vault-Tec is an American company, so they wouldn't have a place in London. As the devs say, "visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain."

Fallout: London is another impressive-looking Fallout 4 mod project

Yet another giant Fallout 4 modding project has released a trailer for an ambitious expansion-sized campaign. Fallout: London is planning to take players to see how the war affected things in the UK. London may change, but war doesn't. Things look just as irradiated, divided, and gritty as you'd expect from a major Fallout 4 mod project. There's no release date yet, and it's certainly looking like there will be plenty of infighting between its new, British factions. No Enclave or Brotherhood of Steel here.

This Fallout 4 mod gives you "A Sassy Creed" hidden blades

If I say 'Assassin's Creed', what do you think of? A massively popular action-adventure games series? An ancient order of jumped-up killers saying stuff like 'requiescat in pace' a lot? Hooded hooligans flinging themselves off buildings into what are surely not unbreakable carts of hay? Probably. You'd most likely also think of that arm bling they're always sporting - the hidden blades - as they're a really cool bit of kit. And the good news is they've now come to another big open-world game: Fallout 4.

Fallout 4 fan LeahTheUnknown has posted a new mod hilariously called 'A Sassy Creed - Wrist Weapons', which - yep, you guessed it - adds some "wrist-mounted weapons inspired by some other game..." Going by the pictures of the hidden blades, they look really faithful to the real deal, though naturally with a Fallout-style spin on them. Assassin's Creed hasn't yet visited the retro-futurist, post-apocalyptic Commonwealth yet, after all.

There are multiple versions included in the mod to pick from, too. There are three 'wrist spikes', which are small, more needle-like fixtures in rusty, shiny, and glass variants, as well as a concealed blade that has a metallic wrist wrapping, and a camouflaged blade, which "looks like it is camouflaged as army fatigues" and "bears a strange rank chevron". Hmm, wonder what that could be.
