Devlog #1 - First MMO Connection Test

[p]A new week - and the start of a new devlog series![/p][p]Devlog Memories has officially come to an end, and today we’re starting a brand new devlog series where we’ll show the game’s progress as it happens 😄[/p][h3]First MMO Connection Test[/h3][p]This week we reached an important milestone - the first successful multiplayer connection test.[/p][p]Right now we have: [/p][p]• a dedicated server [/p][p]• two player clients connected to it [/p][p]• server-side synchronization of player movement and position[/p][p][/p][p]In the GIF you can see two players (represented as cubes) connected to the same server. Both of them can move around, and their positions are synchronized through the server in real time.[/p][p]It’s still a very early prototype, but seeing two characters moving in the same world for the first time felt like a huge step forward for the project.[/p][p]Moments like this are always exciting during development - when something that previously existed only in code finally becomes visible in the game.[/p][p][/p][p]Let us know what you think![/p][p]If you haven’t added the game to your wishlist yet, you can do it here:[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]That’s it for today 🫡[/p][p]See you in the next devlog![/p][p]~Tom[/p]

Multiplayer Playtests Coming in May!

[p]Hello everyone![/p][p]Today we want to share an update about something many of you have been asking about for a long time - multiplayer in Dominus Automa! [/p][p]We’re excited to announce that we’re currently preparing the first multiplayer playtests planned for May.[/p][p]This upcoming build will introduce a shared hub city, where players will finally be able to see each other in-game. You’ll be able to meet other players, spend time in the same world, and experience Dominus in a more social environment.[/p][p]What’s coming in this build?[/p][p]Alongside the shared hub, the new version will also introduce:[/p]
  • [p]More content to explore[/p]
  • [p]AFK progression - your hero will be able to continue progressing even when you step away from the game or turn off your computer.[/p]
[p]We’re very excited to start testing these systems with the community and see players finally sharing the world of Dominus together.[/p][p]Thank you for following the development of Dominus Automa and supporting the project. Your feedback and enthusiasm help us move the game forward every day.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]~ Dominus Automa Team[/p]

Devlog Memories #9 - Quests

[p]Hey everyone,[/p][p]new week - and another devlog! [/p][p]This time we’re introducing the first version of the quest system 🗺️[/p][p][/p][p]Your hero can now receive quests from NPCs, complete objectives, and return to claim rewards.[/p][p]Right now we support two quest types:[/p][p]• Defeat a certain number of enemies
• Collect a specific amount of materials[/p][p]Once a quest is accepted, your hero automatically travels to the location and starts working on completing the objective.[/p][p]After finishing the task, you simply click “Complete Quest”, and your hero returns to the NPC to collect the reward.[/p][p]It’s a simple system for now, but it already works nicely with the automation style of the game.[/p][p][/p][p]What kinds of quests would you like to see next? 🤔[/p][p][/p][p]If you haven’t added the game to your wishlist yet, you can do it here:[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]And if you’d like to support us and join a great community, you can do that here:[/p][p]https://www.patreon.com/c/dominus_automa[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for following the development![/p][p]See you in the next devlog![/p][p]~Tom[/p]

Devlog Memories #8 - Voice commands and changing skills on the bar

[p] Another week, another devlog![/p][p][/p][p]This week we’re continuing to expand the command and spell system ☄️[/p][p][/p][p]Last week we talked about adding the ability to give your hero commands through chat messages. Now we’re taking it a step further - you can also issue those commands with your voice![/p][p]For example, if you say something like: “Go to Black Forest and earn 1000 gold,” your hero will teleport to Black Forest and keep grinding until the task is completed - or until you change your mind.[/p][p][/p][p]On top of that, we’ve added the ability to swap skills on your skill bar, either through voice commands or manually - your choice! [/p][p]Right now, you can only switch skills around. Those of you who read the previous devlog know we already have our first working spell - Fireball. The rest of the spells are UI-only for now, no actual functionality yet.[/p][p]Let us know what you think. Would you actually use voice controls while playing, or do you prefer sticking to the classic setup?[/p][p][/p][p]If you haven’t added the game to your wishlist yet, you can do it here:[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]And if you’d like to support us and join a great community, you can do that here:[/p][p]https://www.patreon.com/c/dominus_automa[/p][p][/p][p]That’s it for today 🫡 [/p][p]See you in the next devlog![/p][p][/p]
