Habbo Hotel: Origins News

INTRODUCING THE JADE GIFT BOX

[p]Exciting things are happening in Habbo Hotel: Origins, and we’re thrilled to introduce a batch of new prizes making its way into the hands of our most dedicated event participants: The Jade Collection.[/p][p]From now on, winners of events and competitions created and hosted by our Event Creators will receive a Jade Gift Box as their reward, in addition to other prizes, depending on the event.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p]
WHAT’S INSIDE THE JADE GIFT BOX?

[p]Every Jade Gift Box comes with a small but thrilling possibility of revealing an exclusive Jade rare. These coveted items are highly sought after and perfect for Habbos who love to stand out.[/p][p]Not all Jade rares will be made available to grab just yet, with others to be added in the future. Currently the rares you have a chance of getting are:[/p]
 • [p]Jade Dragon Lamp[/p]
 • [p]Jade Fluffy Pillow[/p]
 • [p]Jade Marquee[/p]
 • [p]Jade Parasol[/p]
 • [p]Jade Smoke Machine[/p]
[p]However, if a Jade rare isn’t revealed, not all is lost! You are guaranteed to receive a random Laduduck if you aren't so lucky. Cute, collectible, and full of charm, the Laduduck ensures every winner walks away with something special.[/p][p]Just like the rares, limited Laduducks are available for now, with a larger collection to be introduced in the future. The colours currently available are:[/p]
 • [p]Jade[/p]
 • [p]Light Orange[/p]
 • [p]Pink[/p]
 • [p]Yellow[/p]
 • [p]Sky Blue[/p]
[p]Celebrate Events, Celebrate Rewards[/p][p]The Jade Gift Box is our way of celebrating the creativity and energy of Event Creators (abbreviation: EC), as well as rewarding Habbos who jump in and take part.[/p][p]Keep an eye on in-hotel events, join competitions, and give it your all – you never know when a Jade rare might be waiting for you.[/p][p]Future Plans[/p][p]We're also planning a new and more fair way of introducing rewards from our EC events, including badges and nameplates 👀[/p][p]In the near future, each game win will come with a type of EC Token that goes in your backpack (in addition to your Jade Gift Box). After accumulating enough tokens, you would be able to spend these tokens on an EC season badge or nameplate (only available for so many months before changing).[/p][p]We hope that this helps to reduce some of the issues with attendance due to timezones where a badge is only up for grabs during one specific hour.[/p][p][/p]

Upcoming Events
[p][/p][p][/p][p]If you’re keen to start collecting your Jade rares and Laduducks, please see a brief overview of the upcoming events for January below.[/p][p]Please note, additional events may be added, and existing ones may be changed:[/p]

End-of-Year Updates: Wobble Squabble, BattleBall, and More

[p]We’ve been doing a bit of housekeeping behind the scenes as we wrap up the year, starting with Wobble Squabble.[/p][p]Some players ran into rare edge cases where a match could trigger client-side errors mid-game. Not great timing, and definitely not the kind of wobble anyone signed up for. These issues have now been fixed, and Wobble Squabble should run far more reliably going forward.[/p][p]There are no rule changes or balance tweaks here, just stability improvements where they were needed.[/p][p]Alongside this, we’re introducing three new BattleBall event modes.[/p][p]These modes will appear as rotating, hour-long events via the Casual Lobby, each bringing a bold twist to the classic BattleBall formula:[/p]
 • [p]BattleBall: Lightcycle - Jump in and carve trails across the arena, but cross the wrong line and you’re done![/p]
 • [p]BattleBall: Closing In - Stay inside the shrinking zone and hold your ground as the arena closes in around you.[/p]
 • [p]BattleBall: Crosscut - Dodge sweeping energy beams and fight for fresh ground as the arena keeps resetting.[/p]
[p]Each event takes over the lobby for a limited time before rotating out, keeping BattleBall fast, unpredictable, and worth jumping back into whenever it lights up.[/p][p][/p]

Other bug fixes & improvements
• [p]Fixed an issue causing Wobble Squabble to trigger rare client-side script errors during matches[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue causing Arctic fishing holes to spawn fish too quickly[/p]

Private Room Fishing & 2025 Christmas Badge!

[p]As part of the Winter Fishing Expansion in Habbo Hotel: Origins, private room fishing has officially splashed into the game![/p][p][/p]

🎣 How it works
[p]Head over to the Fishing Store at the InfoBus Park Fishing Spot and pick up a Fish Hole. It’ll set you back 15k fish — which sounds like a lot until you remember how many fish you've already earned.[/p][p][/p][p]After that, just place the Fish Hole in your room and click on it. And you're away![/p][p][/p]

🙌 Why this is important
[p]Private room fishing changes the vibe completely. Suddenly, fishing becomes part of room design. It’s atmosphere. It’s storytelling. It’s that soft background activity while you chat, decorate, or pretend you’re only logging in for five minutes![/p][p][/p]

Happy Christmas!
[p]Finally, an update direct from developer Macklebee on X! [/p][p]Merry Christmas, Habbos! Every user who’s logged in at any point during December right through to the New Year will receive our 2025 Christmas Badge. Just a little festive thank you for being around![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
