Dead by Daylight has no plans for a sequel

Dead by Daylight's next update is on the way, adding Sadako from Ringu - which Western audiences will know as The Ring - as the new killer. There are now over 30 DLCs available for Behaviour Interactive's asymmetrical horror game - at least doubling the content that was available at launch. So, is it time for a sequel? In an interview with The Loadout, Dead by Daylight's creative director Dave Richard confirms that there are no plans for a new Dead by Daylight game.
Dead by Daylight has been around for six years now and we asked Richard how long the original game will continue to be updated and whether there were any plans for the studio to release a full-on Dead by Daylight 2.
"Dead by Daylight as a project and as a team has been built to be supported for as long as we could," Richard says. "If there are players supporting it and a growing community, it makes sense to us to continue to update and support the title rather than move to a sequel. As we have seen through the years with the massive visual rework of maps and characters, with effort and know-how it is possible to update a title even in major ways to support it even longer."
