Surprise Update: Rebels Have Arrived!
Hello Warlords, in several provinces the populations have been taken advantage of... taxed to the extreme, underfed, and neglected. These people have decided to take matters into their own hands and form powerful rebel armies!
If you are not cautious with your population’s needs going forward, you may find yourself facing these dangerous rebel leaders due to your own negligence. So be the best warlord you can be, and make your people proud to stand by your side!
New Additions & Mechanics
• The province UI stats now flash either green or red now when any value has changed!
• The players generals now show their units in green font on the battle field, and the enemy units will be shown with orange font. Orange was chosen over red for better visibility.
• A Rebel Leader unit has been added. Rebels will now attack any province where the population approval drops below 41.
• If multiple provinces have a low approval at the same time, the game will queue them. Only one rebel attack can occur per month/turn.
• If rebels defeat a province’s army, they will take control of the province, raise their own flag, and become an independent warlord. The populations approval will jump to 80 due to the uprising’s success.
• Rebel units never flee and will fight to the death (or starvation).
• Defeating a Rebel Leader will reward you with a small amount of bonus gold and food.
• When the players losses, the score screen now pops up and tells them they have been defeated. At that point they can click continue button and resume watching the map play without them.
• Added localization to the end victory screen and defeat screen.
Edits & Bug Fixes
• Province approval ratings can no longer drop below -15. This bug previously caused crashes.
• When loading older save files, any approval values below -15 will now be corrected automatically.
• Economy and Crop values can no longer fall below 0. Previously, battlefield damage to buildings or crops could cause negative values.
• The range of the Bribe ability on the battlefield has been significantly increased.
• Fixed a serious issue where players could use NPC supplies instead of their own during battles.
• The end game victory totals have been reworked to be more precise instead of rounded generic values!
• The Give command that gives the population food has been buffed to better support population approval management.
• Water visuals have been slightly tweaked to improve clarity and readability.
• English fonts have been adjusted for improved depth and visual appeal.
• Province lists that display generals now feature a hover highlight to improve interaction feedback.
• Fixed a demo issue where the VICTORY screen text overlapped with other end-game UI elements.
