Not a quick refresh. A total relaunch, rebuilt from the ground up to give you a truer taste of what the full game is meant to be.[/p][p]Over the past months, I’ve been obsessing over the experience: the tone, the pacing, the atmosphere, and how every scene lands emotionally. It became clear that the old demo didn’t meet the new standard. So I went back to the drawing board… and now it’s finally ready.[/p][p]Veils of the Past is a mature, atmosphere-heavy mystery visual novel with romance, where your choices don’t just change scenes, they change who people are.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]What You’ll Notice Right Away[/h2]

• [p]Brand-new and updated images and completely reworked scenes[/p]

Beyond that, every existing localization has been entirely rewritten. The goal was simple: to make each language feel like an original version, not a translation.[/p][p]The demo is now available in:
English, French, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]Important Change: From “Adult” to “Mature”[/h2][p]I’ve decided to change the game’s category from Adult to Mature.[/p][p]Romance remains a core pillar of Veils of the Past, but the full story is so much more than that — it’s a careful mix of suspense, emotion, atmosphere, and intimacy. The “Adult” label was simply too narrow for the story I’m telling.[/p][p]To be crystal clear: the full game will not be explicit, but it will absolutely be intense; narratively and emotionally.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]This Is Just the Beginning[/h2][p]This demo shows you the core flavor of the experience: the tension, the warmth, the ache, the mystery. In the full game, we go much deeper.[/p][p]There will be multiple major story paths that are fully independent — with no overlap — and characters can take very different roles depending on your decisions. [p]Hello everyone,[/p][p]It’s been a little quiet from our side lately, and I want to take a moment to explain why, and to be fully transparent about where Veils of the Past currently stands.[/p][p]Over the past months, I’ve been deeply focused on the heart of the game:
the writing, the structure, and every branching path of the story.[/p][p]As the narrative evolved, it reached a level I’m genuinely proud of; emotionally, thematically, and in terms of player choice. But while refining the story, one thing became very clear:[/p][p]Veils of the Past can only be released when everything meets that same level of quality.[/p][p]That realization led to a difficult but necessary decision.[/p][hr][/hr][h3]🔁 Re-assessing the entire presentation[/h3][p]To do the story justice, all visuals are currently being re-evaluated.
Many scenes are being refined — and quite a few are being completely remade — to ensure they match the tone, emotion, and depth of the writing.[/p][p]This also applies to:[/p]

• [p]branching structure and pacing[/p]
• [p]sound design and atmosphere[/p]
• [p]overall player experience[/p]
• [p]all localizations, which must feel natural and immersive in every supported language[/p]

[p][/p][p]Because of this, it’s no longer realistic to release the game in February 2026.[/p][hr][/hr][h3]🗓️ Updated release window[/h3][p]The new target release window for Veils of the Past is Spring/Summer 2026.[/p][p]I know this may be disappointing for those of you who have been eagerly waiting, and I don’t take that lightly. But I firmly believe that launching the game only makes sense when every part of it reaches the same high standard.[/p][p]I want your first full playthrough to feel right and complete.
Not rushed. Not compromised.
