v2.2.3 Steam update

Huddle up sports fans, a new controller is on the field.

PC players get improved support for a larger number of game controllers, including the Sony DualSense controller, in the latest update. All though the controllers worked fine, proper controller icons are now shown on screen for the DualSense controller (DualShock 4 support was already included). To make this possible, SSDT 2.2.3 for PC brings an updated Rewired controller library. A few minor things were cleaned up and fixed along the way, so the version number has jumped a bit.

v2.2.3 for Windows: Rewired updated, Dual Sense glyph support, QoL keyboard mouse text updates, Minor text fixes for season mode player select, Camera scroll fix (introduced in Steam Deck update)

Steam Deck Update

This update is for the Steam Deck owners. Take SSDT with you on the go! The Steam Deck handles the game great, and now Super Slam Dunk Touchdown looks like it was made for the portable device. This build is 16:10 optimized while still making the most of ultrawide monitors on PC. You get full Steam Deck controller support and touch screen support for most UI elements. Happy sportsballing!

Things just got a little easier

After fixing an AI bug, the AI was too good! The difficulty was ramping up to hard. It is now much friendlier and even cuts you some slack on some of the "shadier" challenges.

Secret CPU v CPU mode now randomizes the difficulty of each time for more entertaining viewing.

EXTRA SEASONING UPDATE

Huddle up!

The Extra Seasoning update brings loads of new content for 1-3 players either locally or with Steam's Remote Play feature. Classic 6 player modes available too, along with upgraded CPU players.

With multiple controller modes, you can play in many different ways. Play with an old Gamecube controller or a modern Xbox controller and just about any analog joystick in between. Use Xinput for modern features, Direct Input for legacy compatibility, a combination of both, and more. With a new windowed screen mode, you can stream the game more easily. Keyboard and mouse is also supported (not recommended).
AI, UI, UX improvements
Virtually every aspect of the game has been improved since the 2017 Pre-Season update. Controller diagrams, scoring diagrams, simplified controls, better computer players, and a guided Season Mode journey to help you master the game. Cloud saves supported too!
Reach for the Chievos
All 100 Xbox achievements are here and only the best and boldest players will unlock them all. You can even reset them and challenge yourself again and again for a sense of pride and accomplishment. Touchdown!

Extra Seasoning: Open Beta

Some stats bugs have emerged during testing that will take a bit more time to fix. With the holidays here in the USA in full swing, rather than make you wait, the beta is being opened to all!

You can play the all new Season Mode with 1-3 players and anyone who owns the game can host a Steam Remote play session with friends (recommended 30+mbps upspeed). Your friends don't need to own the game to play the game or the open beta! There are still 1-6 player classic modes as well as secret unlocks, Season Mode training games and 100 achievements.

Please leave feedback in the forums. Tipping Goat hopes you have all the happy holidays!
