How to start playing on Steam

You will find the details in the news article below.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]Quick Guide for New Players[/h2][p]If you are a new player, go to the project's page on Steam and log in to download Warface. After logging in, the game will be available to launch.[/p][h3]To log in:[/h3][p]1. Click the "Play" button in the Steam client.[/p][p]2. Create an account or enter your login details in the Astrum Play authorization window that appears (this is only required for the first login).[/p][h3]Important:[/h3][p]· At this stage, your game account on Steam is linked to your Astrum Play account — this is a necessary step to ensure account security and gain access to all the project's services.[/p][p]· Authorization is only required the first time you launch the game.[/p][p]· The email address used for registration will also be needed to log into the official Warface website and the technical support portal.[/p][p]· You can create a new Astrum Play account or use an existing one if it was created no more than 7 days ago (more on this later).[/p][h3]Please also note that:[/h3][p]· You cannot link multiple Steam accounts to a single Astrum Play account.[/p][p]· You cannot link a Steam account to an Astrum Play account if it is already in use for linking to our other services.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]If you are launching Warface on Steam for the first time[/h2][h3]Don't have an Astrum Play account? 4. [p]Next, you need to create a password and confirm it. Remember your password! You will need it if you want to visit the game's website or contact technical support.[/p]

The sequence of actions in this case depends on whether such an account was transferred to VK Play or not.[/p][h3]Account was transferred to VK Play in 2022[/h3][p]In 2022, all players had the opportunity to transfer their accounts from Steam to VK Play on a special promo page. If you took advantage of this, you cannot transfer that same account back to Steam, but you can continue playing in the VK Play Game Center.[/p][p]If you still want to start playing on Steam, you need to create a new account by following the guide above.[/p][h3]Account was NOT transferred to VK Play in 2022[/h3][p]If you previously played Warface on Steam but did not transfer this account to VK Play, it will still be accessible, and your progress will be preserved. However, you need to complete a few simple steps.[/p][p]Upon the first launch, the game will prompt you to create an alternative login method for the account previously used to play on Steam. This will be either VK Play or Astrum Play, depending on your account's history.[/p]

1. [p]If prompted to use VK Play, in the window that opens, you should choose a convenient login method (VK ID or Mail.ru email) and confirm it. You can use an existing one or create a new one if that is more convenient for you. In this case, be sure to remember the login and password, as you may need them later.[/p]

They can now use their current VK Play account to log into the game via Steam. However, please be aware that the type of authorization determines the available functionality, including payment methods and access to certain services.[/p][p]If you prefer this option, please ensure you enter the credentials for the correct VK Play account. Please note: such an account most likely already has a Steam account linked to it.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]Please note[/h2][h3]Linking to Steam is available for 7 days after account creation[/h3][p]As mentioned earlier, you cannot log into the official Warface website directly using your Steam account. For this, you need to use the VK Play or Astrum Play account associated with your Steam account.[/p][p]We understand this might be challenging for new players who wish to, for example, use new player bonuses or participate in promo events. Therefore, we have implemented a seven-day period during which a new Astrum Play account can be linked to a Steam account.[/p][p]In other words: if you registered on the Warface promo page, immediately created a new Astrum Play account, and started participating in an event to claim gifts, you still have the opportunity to link the game to a Steam account that hasn't been used to play Warface before. However, this must be done within 7 days of registration.[/p][h3]Game website services and technical support[/h3][p]To use the services available on the game's website, you need to log in using the Astrum Play or VK Play account linked to your Steam account. Almost all services will be available to you, with a few exceptions.[/p][p]For technical reasons, Steam players have restricted access to services requiring phone verification: "Gift to a Friend" and "Express Reserve."
