Patch #5

Hello, Tower Lords!
[p]A new patch is ready with more Qol and Polish.

The next major patch will be out in a 2 or 3 days. We'll be polishing game balance and combat.

Bug Fixes [/h2]
  • [p]The annoying bug that forced you to hover and un-hover over light to upgrade tower when starting the game should be gone. [/p]
  • [p]The dragon breath issues fixed. But please note in final fight this skill is not available like normally. You use it to destroy the shield, but you are unable to use it for normal damage.[/p]
  • [p]Status Combo UI should properly reset on enemies. [/p]
  • [p]Resuming game by going to title menu and then back to the game should now work without issues.[/p]

Polish [/h2]
  • [p]You can now hold your mouse and swipe it across the ground to mass collect the loot dropped by enemies.[/p]
  • [p]Combat Damage Notifications upgrades[/p]
    • [p]Now there is a toggle-able combat log at bottom right corner of the screen. Tiny button toggles it on/off[/p]
    • [p]Echo/Decay damage now cascades down for visually appealing effect and it does not crowd the area as much anymore.[/p]
    • [p]Total damage dealt count-up damage text added. [/p]
    • [p]Status Effect damage texts moved up, and spread on a virtual grid for better visibility. [/p]
    • [p]The normal damage texts removed, they are now displayed in combat log. [/p]
  • [p]Increased how much settings affect camera speed.[/p]
  • [p]Tooltips added to requirement items in tower shop.[/p]
  • [p]Tooltips added to icons next to healthbar that explain mechanics of the Armor and Gloom. [/p]
  • [p]Dark lord sequence cleaned up a bit, and visual bugs fixed.[/p]
  • [p]More spell symbols changed for easier casting. [/p]
  • [p]Various small improvements and fixes. [/p]

Patch#4 Quick Fix

This is a quick fix for world map cost issue:

The world map prices would not display in some cases.
Tweaked spell rune shapes more to make last two runes easier to cast
Now when you hold right click and draw, other interactions won't interfere.

A lot of new improvement coming in Patch#5 which will launch tomorrow.

Patch #4 - Polishing and bug fixes

[h2]Hello, Tower Lords![/h2][p][/p][p]A new patch is live.[/p][p][/p][h2]Research Perks [/h2][p]The research runes that hang from the Research Academy are interactive and if you hover over them, they show what perk you unlocked. We added a camera zoom tutorial for this in the patch. But we are looking for feedback whether you think this is enough or should we have text tutorial?[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Save Issues
[p]Because the buildings were changed, now you'll be able to summon over 20 Orcs, Dwarves, Elves. It is recommended to stick to 20 for each armies. [/p][p]Some of the new balance will not be applied to older save games, because you would already have bought the upgrades.
Its possible to overpower dragon if you already bought some updates for the dragon and now you get additional levels to upgrade. There were 8 levels, and now there are 16 levels at half the upgrade power per level.
[/p][p] [/p][h2]Game Changes [/h2]
  • [p]We moved all army production into one building[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]You can now click on enemy for basic attack that you can later upgrade[/p]
  • [p]Orc building has been converted into click power advancement shop. You can buy upgrades to your click damage and click resource yield amount.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]We changed last two spells symbols and they should be easier to cast. Still a lot to tweak and improve here though. The last symbol is easier to cast if you make vertical lines wider. We'll continue improving this feature. [/p][p][/p]
[h2]Polish[/h2]
  • [p]Shop Menus should no longer cover up resource bar at the top.[/p]
  • [p]Moved Damage notifications behind menus[/p]
  • [p]Research Perk Tutorial Added, first time you get rune camera will zoom hinting that you can learn about what you crafted in there. If needed we'll add explicit text.[/p]
  • [p]World map costs are color coded to let you know when you don't have enough gem hearts[/p]
  • [p]Arena[/p][p][/p]
    • [p]Arena added level texts to combo status and little army icons [/p]
    • [p]Arena centered fighting units around building a bit better[/p]
  • [p]Luminarch [/p]
    • [p]Luminarch will flash when fired[/p]
    • [p]Further reduced rotation speed[/p]
    • [p]New sound effects added to Luminarch[/p]
  • [p]Dragon Attack [/p][p][/p]
    • [p]When you attack with the dragon the icon will immediately turn gray to let you know it was clicked[/p]
    • [p]When dragon attack is fully recharged it will have prominent glow now so you don't have to guess by gray line at the top[/p]
  • [p]Research Academy now plays a particle while research is in progress so you can know at a glance if its active[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]You can now read approximate resource gained per second on relevant resources[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Reduced the cost and power of dragon attacks, so you get same damage but spread over more levels.[/p]
  • [p]Increased research production upgrades to 15 from 10 [/p]
  • [p]Reduced stone cost of some buildings [/p]
  • [p]Increased how much monster parts are dropped by enemies as monster parts are now used in new building to upgrade clicks[/p]
  • [p]Luminarch damage upgrade levels increased to 15 [/p][p][/p]
[h2]Bug Fixes [/h2]
  • [p]Overpaying scroll costs should be fixed[/p]
  • [p]Arena bug fixed where units would not show up fighting and menu would not immediately reflect that training had started[/p]
  • [p]Various other fixes I forgot to log :)[/p]

Patch #3 is Live

[p]Hello Tower Lords!

Patch #3 is live. This should take care of almost all game breaking or large issues that were discovered until now. [/p][p][/p][p]So far the only reported important issues we have left on bug list are:[/p]
  • [p]Adding border to windowed mode so you can move the game window around.[/p]
  • [p]Few players reported High ram usage. This is likely due to memory leak and we are trying to find what could cause this.[/p]
  • [p]Some players experience issues with un-used gamepad reporting axis drift and interfering with mouse position. We are investigating this and should be solved in patch #4 or #5. Meanwhile, if you unplug extra controllers and disconnect from Bluetooth this should be a temporary fix. [/p]
  • [p]Parts of localization texts are missing, because we just added them to fit new purposes and it will take a few days to arrange translations. [/p]
[p]If you have a broken save we made a topic with console commands that should hopefully fix it for you. Otherwise please send your saves to [email protected] and we'll try to fix them. Patch #3 Notes:
  • [p]Dark Lord fight now has more protection safeguards then Nasa uses for space launches. If the fight still breaks for someone, we'll have to ask for proof that no demonic deals were made to accomplish this feat. [/p]
  • [p]Luminarch - Tower laser - now has few improvements. [/p]
    • [p]Luminarch main gun and amplifying lenses now have different visual so it should be less confusing. [/p]
    • [p]Luminarch now shows other lenses when aiming similar to how it showed enemies. [/p]
    • [p]Luminarch lenses now have tooltip messages informing player about exactly what they do. [/p]
    • [p]Luminarch should no longer point to dead enemies. [/p]
    • [p]Luminarch rotation speed was reduced for easier control. [/p]
    • [p]Luminarch bugs were it would not fire were fixed. [/p]
  • [p]Tooltips should no longer stick to the center of the screens, and should be properly positioned near relevant items. [/p]
  • [p]Army Selection now has tooltip telling you damage of individual warrior. [/p]
  • [p]Research Perk Rune should no longer show double description of perk.[/p]
  • [p]Starting new game warns you that save will be erased. Later we'll add save slots. [/p]
  • [p]Bug were many more enemies would arrive each wave endlessly was fixed. And we added console commands in case your save was affected by this. (See notes above about console commands)[/p]
[p][/p][p]It has been difficult few days, where we spend all the waking hours fixing issues and making sure we can get game in stable state as soon as we could. From bottom of our heart, we appreciate all the kind words you shared, it meant a lot, and thank you for all the feedback and bugs you've sent. We are very determined to invest heavily in testing time before all future launches, and we'll not underestimate this stage ever again. [/p][p][/p][p]Hopefully, in just a few days, we'll be able to get the game in a very polished stage, and you can enjoy Tower Lords as it was meant to.

Patch #2 quick fix

Hello Everyone,

This is a quick fix for issues introduced in Patch #2.

Specifically
Luminarch the Tower Laser should now work if you load your old save. There was a particular upgrade that if you had it in old save format this would break.

Too many enemies appearing. The wave code had bugs and this has been repaired.

We also added console, which opens with ~ key. On regular keyboards it's under Escape key. For now there are few functions that will let you repair Nation Specific buildings.
