The State Machine Update

[p]Yo yo yo! This week I've been working on revamping the menu system for the game and even made a Dev Vlog.[/p][p][/p]
The Updates
[p]You'll notice this update as soon as you launch the game, there's a new intro (gotta shout out Godot), new main menu, settings, path select and in-game menu. [/p][p][/p][p]It's pretty simplistic but very clean, which I really enjoy. Of course, it's not the final form but like everything else it's a new iteration.[/p][p][/p]
Did Someone Say State Machines?
[p]Yea, so the new menu system operates on a custom State Machine. The actual foundation of the design was found somewhere on YouTube and unfortunately I can't remember exactly who but it's not that complicated...[/p][p][/p]
Is The Future Still Bright?
[p]In terms of the future of the game, we're still on track heading straight for the Demo. I decided that I'm going to take my time and not try and rush it. I want to make a great first impression and I think it'll help me with being more patient lol. [/p][p][/p][p]I pretty much hit all the targets set out in the original post for the Roadmap so the next phase is to generate another one with an actual date tied to it. [/p][p][/p][p]I'm not sure if I'll keep pushing the rest of the new updates into the Playtest, I would like for some of it to still be a surprise to those who have been playing, but that's undecided at the moment.
