Fractured Library News

50% funded in our first week! WHOA.

[p][/p][p][/p][p]I wasn't going to update every day, but it just so happens that we've hit an incredible milestone and it would be wrong not to celebrate it with all of you![/p][p]50%.[/p][p]Half way. [/p][p]In just 7 days. [/p][p]WOW. I'm still coming to terms with it honestly. [/p][p]When we launched, I was so confident that we'd meet our goal, but part of me held onto the very "sensible" view of "We'll just see how we go". [/p][p]But she's been kicked to the curb now-  I have very few doubts that we're going to meet our target by the 30 day mark and be able to offer you all the very best game we can.[/p][p]So from the bottom of our gamedev hearts, [/p][p]THANK YOU! [/p][p]Thank you for supporting, for putting real money behind this, and for showing us that there absolutely is a market out there for a story-based adventure game like Fractured Library. [/p][p]If you haven't already played the demo- it's basically a free mini game and i'd thoroughly reccommend checking it out :) [/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]See you next update,[/p][p]Hannah & Lee. [/p][p] [/p]

Now 20% funded!

[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Wow. Just… wow.[/p][p]
It’s honestly hard to take in that you wonderful people have pledged over $2,000 in our very first day![/p][p]I don’t know what I’m more excited about now—finishing Fractured Library itself, or seeing all the amazing and creative touches you’ll be adding through your pledges.[/p][p][/p][p]One of my favourite parts of making the demo was creating the book titles our community submitted and designing their covers. You’ve all proven to be some of the funniest, cleverest people on the internet, and I’m taking that as the highest compliment possible for our game.[/p][p][/p][p]If you know someone who’d love a story-driven game that’ll make you laugh, tug on your heartstrings, and maybe even make you a little teary—please send them our way.[/p][p]
We’ve made it this far because of you, our incredible community.[/p][p]
And after seeing this first-day response, I’m absolutely convinced we’ll reach our goal in the next 28 days.[/p][p]Thank you, truly. 💛[/p][p]

Fractured Library is on KICKSTARTER!

Fractured Library is on
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Why Kickstarter? [/p][p]We couldn't have made it this far into Raguthra Studios without the support of our amazing community which has rallied around us. [/p][p]When we were exploring funding avenues, the one that encouraged us to give further rewards to our supporters seemed like a no-brainer. [/p][p]Our campaign kicks off on the 13th of October 2025, the same time our Demo launches! [/p][p]Don't miss out on the early bird rewards- follow us on Kickstarter to be notified when it goes live! [/p][p][/p][p]Follow us on Kickstarter[/p][p][/p][p]We did a lot of research before embarking on this journey, and we've been fortunate to get to learn from other's mistakes. [/p][p]We won't be over promising on game features, levels or additions - We're committed to building the best possible experience we can, with our stretch goals aimed at improving the product within the current scope. [/p][p][/p][p]The rewards we're offering are pretty darn exciting if i do say so myself. I won't spoil them all, but let's just say, If you've dreamed of having your short story turn up in a magical library- you might want to keep your eye on this space. 👀[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Fractured Library Development Update 2nd September

[p]Fractured Library's Demo is well underway and on track for release in this October's Steam Next Fest! [/p][p][/p][p]The Fractured Library Demo will be set at the InkThistle Forest Community Library, where you're out helping Hazel the witch Librarian find some ingredients for her de-weeding potion, until you make a strange discovery in the forest. [/p][p][/p][p]We've made the decision to let players experience the world in a mini-game for our demo, rather than spoiling any of the full release. It's set in the same world, with the same gameplay style and characters, so you can get a good feel for the main game, without us compromising any of the story. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
So far we have:
• [p]Written a whole in-depth mini story separate from the main game for the demo. [/p]
 • [p]Designed all the assets and in-game items[/p]
 • [p]Created all the maps in Unity[/p]
 • [p]Added all the Items to the game[/p]
 • [p]Sorted out Item descriptions[/p]
 • [p]Added some extra animations to bring the world to life [/p]
Currently we are:
• [p]Linking up the quest mechanics [/p]
 • [p]Making some improvements to background images (parallaxing and such) [/p]
 • [p]Getting ready for playtesting! [/p]
[p][/p]
Next up
[p]We're about a week out from internal playtesting, where we will no doubt be squashing bugs left, right, and centre until we upload for Next Fest! [/p][p][/p]
