DriveWave v1.4.9 - Why is this dealer?

[p]Hey everyone!

You could've seen this coming from miles away
[/p][p][/p][p]Why's this dealer taking the piss? I've been standing here for thirty mins waiting for this update to drop.[/p][p]v1.4.9 is here.[/p][p]Spent fifteen minutes scrolling through settings and found Bop Mode. Turn it on. Trust me.[/p][p]The dealer finally pulled up, overtaking cars like Max did Lewis. I said mate, slow down. He said "Nah man, I'm not complaining, I've been sat at home just gaming." Fair enough.[/p][p]What's new:[/p]
  • [p]Bop Mode. Find it in Settings[/p]
  • [p]Way easier car controls. Even your nan could drift[/p]
  • [p]Bug fixes and improvements[/p]
[p]Cheers

DriveWave v1.4.5 - The One Where It's a bit Easier to Drive

[p]Hey everyone!

It's been a while since I've touched DriveWave, so here's a quick update. Cars should now feel much more responsive and easier to handle overall. I also made a handful of smaller tweaks under the hood, but I didn't keep proper notes so I'll spare you the guesswork.

In other news, I've been busy! I've released two new games in a similar spirit to DriveWave. Wartide Demo is available and Coin Harvest Demo is coming up really soon. Also working on Metal Thunder and going to share some exciting news about it before long!

Alright, time to dive back into Metal Thunder. Plenty more to come on that front.

See you around!

DriveWave x Therapy Simulator

[p]Hey everyone!

A bit of a different announcement today, one of my closest friends just released his first game! Some of you might've already spotted it in the in-game banners. I've been playing it for a couple of days now (being friends with devs has its perks) and some of the interactions genuinely had me dying laughing. Go check it out, and if you like what you see, there's a nice 10% launch discount running right now!
[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]In other news, I'm closing in on the 1.0 release for Metal Thunder, so if you want to check that out too, here it is! Release date announcement coming real soon!
[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]After Metal Thunder 1.0, my focus will shift to Blitzpoint. The page isn't 100% ready yet, but you can still check it out and wishlist it if you're interested, every single wishlist helps!

[dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]DriveWave is also my passion project and I have no plans to stop working on it. There may be some quieter periods when the game is in a good state and mostly bug-free, but updates will keep coming. It's designed to be a companion game you can have open while working, and I genuinely enjoy developing it. I always have it open in the background while I'm working on my other games

See you around.[/p][p]- Tolga[/p]

DriveWave v1.4.0 — The One Where DriveWave Realizes It’s a Driving Game

[p]Hey everyone,[/p][p]It’s been a while since the last update. Most of my time is going into getting Metal Thunder ready, but that doesn’t mean DriveWave has been ignored. With this update, I can finally say DriveWave is in a genuinely solid spot in terms of UX and general feel.[/p]

You can actually drive the cars now. Literally.
[p][/p][p]There are three tracks/maps in the game where you can take any unlocked car out for a spin. I’ve also tweaked engine sounds so each car feels a bit more true to itself. Treat driving as a BETA, though. I tested things, but not in a “professional QA” sense, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly. Still, some cars feel surprisingly good already. You can also drive with controllers.
[/p][p][c]Now, what is a patch without QoL tweaks and bug fixes
I genuinely don’t know. I’ve never seen one.[/c][/p][p]
Here’s the rest:[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted car engine sounds to be more believable and better matched to each car[/p]
  • [p]Faster UI resizing so you don’t have to dive into settings anymore - Ctrl + Shift + Arrow (Left for downscale - Right for upscale) (Thank you to ACCESS_DENIIED)[/p]
  • [p]Added a toggle to hide or show music controls on the game window (default is visible) (Thank you to ACCESS_DENIIED)[/p]
  • [p]Added the ability to select cars directly from the Skydeck for both driving and typing
Thank you to MrEniana on the DriveWave Discord for pointing this out and being the champ he is for giving lots of QoL feature suggestions[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the Environment menu sometimes refused to appear after the first click[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Steam Overlay gets stuck - (Thank you to Clxmj)[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted Car Lot tooltips for better layout and readability[/p]
[p]
I changed a few more small things, but I didn’t keep notes, so that’s all I can confidently list.[/p][p]Back to Metal Thunder before it gets review-bombed into dust for campaign delays.[/p][p]See you around.
