Hot Fix for Halloween Events

This update addresses several bugs from the new update.

We are working with Steam on inventory, EXP, and achievement related issues.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed EXP not being given out properly for the Halloween minigames
  • Fixed Chain String not having collision
  • Fixed Skull item collision being just a box
  • Fixed Eyeball Stalk not scaling properly with gizmos
  • Fixed Fire FX item not saving its color
  • Fixed gravestone sign and tooth items not replicating

Halloween 2021 Events! (0.14.5.0)



HALLOWEEN 2021 EVENTS ARE HERE!


Halloween Plaza 2021

The plaza is decked out for another spooky Halloween event!
Enjoy the haunted festivities by collecting remains, finding bones, and unlocking various Halloween exclusive items. Be sure to check out the Ghoulcery, because it is back again with new items for you to spend your Ghoul Coins on. And, if you search the coast line, you’ll see that a maze has once again surfaced to be explored!

Halloween Achievements, EXP & Milestones are back

Last year we added various Halloween-exclusive achievements, EXP, and milestones, and they're back again this year. Participate in new quests and scavenger hunts throughout the plaza to earn them, and be sure to check them out in your collection book, too! You can earn Halloween EXP for participating in Halloween events such as Halloween minigames, collecting candy or remains, completing Halloween achievements, and completing Halloween quests!

As you increase your Halloween EXP, you can unlock Halloween milestones such as throwable blood wine and a drivable Minecart!

Return of the Ghoul Coins

While playing games in Tower Unite during this year's Halloween event, you'll earn Ghoul Coins. These coins can be redeemed in the Plaza for Halloween items. You can earn them by playing Plaza minigames or Game Worlds. This year you can earn Ghoul Coins at the Arcade and through Fishing!



Halloween Minigames

The Plaza minigames have not been left out of the Halloween fun. Participate in the Ghost Hunting and Pumpkin Smash minigames on the Event platform, and you uncover a lot of pumpkins along the way!

Multi-select is here!

We've been hard at work adding improvements to the condo building system and this update includes a powerful new tool - multi-select! Now you can hold down shift and select multiple items at once with the gizmo system, and drag, rotate, and even copy items all at once with the alt-drag feature! Got a desk with 15 screens on it? With multi-select you can select your desk, all 15 screens and move it into another room all without ruining their positions.

Changes
  • New Halloween 2021 items available at the Ghoulcery Store
  • Multi-select! Select multiple items and move them with the gizmos! You can also copy the selection with the drag copy feature
  • Laser Projector optimizations
  • Condo: While gizmos are open, surface editing will be disabled to avoid confusion
  • Condo: Moved drag copy to the alt key (was shift key) to prevent accidental copying with the new multi-select
  • Condo: Gizmos no longer lose input when dragging over other UI elements (such as the inventory UI)
  • Condo: While dragging a gizmo, the mouse will now infinitely loop around the screen, allowing you to keep dragging for as long as you need to
  • Condo: Gizmos now scale up/down based on camera position, keeping them a steady constant size on the screen at all times
  • Condo: You no longer can open edit menu (with middle click) on locked items


Bug Fixes
  • Fixed bonfire items not having customizable light colors and settings
  • Fixed bonfire showing use prompt even when you didn't have permission
  • Fixed issues with Planetary Piano inputs getting dropped
  • Fixed the Book Pile 2 item not being available in Rob's imports
  • Ball Race: Fixed moving platform desyncs between players in Nimbus
  • Ball Race: Fixed moving platform desyncs between players in Oasis
  • Fixed workshop player models sometimes assigning to workshop condo items
  • Fixed NPC models defaulting to workshop mode when setting as a non-workshop model
  • Fixed several weapon items not being disabled by the no weapon milestone condo permission
  • Fixed the floating items not being synced with other clients (now float the same for everyone)
  • Fixed Kitchen Tiles world align material
  • Fixed candle draw distance being incredibly small

Last week, we released Update 0.14.4.1, which included some bug fixes and new condo materials.

[h2]Condo: Gizmo Improvements[/h2]
Sketchman has been working on improvements to the Gizmos for condos. This week he worked on updating the controls so the Gizmo can be dragged (or let go of) over existing UI elements.
The build UI will also now lock while the Gizmo is being dragged to prevent accidental inputs.
