v0.55 - New Duck companion!

[h2]v0.55 is released~[/h2][p][/p][h3]New Companion: Duck[/h3][p][/p][p]The duck companion has been added![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This lovely companion reduces the gold cost of enhancement upgrades exponentially, similar to the goldfish. For more information, you can check out the previous post.[/p][p][/p][p]Enhancement costs are one of the most costliest upgrades in the game when it comes to gold. This wholesome duck and its Quackonomics skill will help make it easier to progress in the demo, but also overall makes it easier to ascend on your first playthrough.[/p][p][/p][p]Changelog:[/p][p][/p]

Goat on a Boat?

[p]I wanted to share more about some of the new companions in the full version, one of which I am thinking to add to the demo.[/p][p][/p][p]These changes make progression a lot easier and allow you to ascend quicker on your first playthrough.[/p][p][/p][h2]Goat on a Boat[/h2][p][/p][p]This word pun was inspired when I was chatting with one of the first few people to try Siegeturtle![/p][p]I thought it was cool to have such an animal name and so it was added to the game![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The goat allows you to enhance stats much earlier than before, by reducing the stats required to enhance them.[/p][p][/p][p]For example, instead of 200 STR, you can reduce this to 100 STR with the goat. One cannot go below 50% of the original requirements, but at higher levels, a 50% reduction results in several more enhancements being possible, which amplifies stats growth in the late game.[/p][p][/p][h2]Professor Quack[/h2][p]I wanted to add a duck to the game too, similar to Havendock's Duck on a duck on a duck:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]I ultimately came up with a skill for reducing enhancement prices. I came up with a story for the duck and its personality and came up with Professor Duck and his skill, Quackonomics, which fit the flavourful style of the game.[/p][p][/p]
[p]After a semester at the prestigious School of Quackonomics, this duck mastered the art of pinching pennies. Now he's on the run for scamming his students of bread.[/p]
[p][/p][p]The duck unlocks a skill that reduces the cost of enhancements by a percentage amount exponentially - similar to the Goldfish, but for enhancements. Apparently, it is currently rated as an S-tier skill by Fortas, one of the most experienced players in the game, alongside the Goldfish, Kingfisher and Bee companions.[/p][p][/p][p]Lastly, I want to share a sneak peek of a new biome that will be added to celebrate Halloween![/p][p][/p][h3]New biome: Candyland?[/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p]I wish everyone a happy weekend! v0.53.1 - Customizable shortcut keys!

[h2]v0.53 is released~[/h2][p]​[/p][p]You can now customize shortcut keys! I have added custom keybinds for keyboard shortcuts in settings[/p][p][/p][h2]Custom keybinds[/h2][p][/p][p]With it, you can change the shortcut keys to toggle various menus as well as actions like upgrading a skill. Auto-level is a feature reserved for post ascension so it won't do anything in the demo or in the early stages of the game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]-YYZ[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]

Siegeturtle is in Oct Steam Next Fest!

[h2]Hi all![/h2][p][/p][p]I'm excited to announce that Siegeturtle is participating in the October Steam Next Fest from 13th to 20th![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Do go ahead and try the updated demo, also I have added leaderboards.[/p][p][/p][p]Preparations for the full release are already being made. If all goes well, the game will release not too long after the Next Fest ends.[/p][p][/p][p]In the meantime, I will continue to listen to feedback and improve the game. So feel free to play the Siegeturtle and let me know your thoughts!
