Goat on a Boat?

[p]I wanted to share more about some of the new companions in the full version, one of which I am thinking to add to the demo.[/p][p][/p][p]These changes make progression a lot easier and allow you to ascend quicker on your first playthrough.[/p][p][/p][h2]Goat on a Boat[/h2][p][/p][p]This word pun was inspired when I was chatting with one of the first few people to try Siegeturtle![/p][p]I thought it was cool to have such an animal name and so it was added to the game![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The goat allows you to enhance stats much earlier than before, by reducing the stats required to enhance them.[/p][p][/p][p]For example, instead of 200 STR, you can reduce this to 100 STR with the goat. One cannot go below 50% of the original requirements, but at higher levels, a 50% reduction results in several more enhancements being possible, which amplifies stats growth in the late game.[/p][p][/p][h2]Professor Quack[/h2][p]I wanted to add a duck to the game too, similar to Havendock's Duck on a duck on a duck:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]I ultimately came up with a skill for reducing enhancement prices. I came up with a story for the duck and its personality and came up with Professor Duck and his skill, Quackonomics, which fit the flavourful style of the game.[/p][p][/p]
[p]After a semester at the prestigious School of Quackonomics, this duck mastered the art of pinching pennies. Now he's on the run for scamming his students of bread.[/p]
[p][/p][p]The duck unlocks a skill that reduces the cost of enhancements by a percentage amount exponentially - similar to the Goldfish, but for enhancements. Apparently, it is currently rated as an S-tier skill by Fortas, one of the most experienced players in the game, alongside the Goldfish, Kingfisher and Bee companions.[/p][p][/p][p]Lastly, I want to share a sneak peek of a new biome that will be added to celebrate Halloween![/p][p][/p][h3]New biome: Candyland?[/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p]I wish everyone a happy weekend! v0.53.1 - Customizable shortcut keys!

[h2]v0.53 is released~[/h2][p]​[/p][p]You can now customize shortcut keys! I have added custom keybinds for keyboard shortcuts in settings[/p][p][/p][h2]Custom keybinds[/h2][p][/p][p]With it, you can change the shortcut keys to toggle various menus as well as actions like upgrading a skill. Siegeturtle is in Oct Steam Next Fest!

[h2]Hi all![/h2][p][/p][p]I'm excited to announce that Siegeturtle is participating in the October Steam Next Fest from 13th to 20th![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Do go ahead and try the updated demo, also I have added leaderboards.[/p][p][/p][p]Preparations for the full release are already being made. If all goes well, the game will release not too long after the Next Fest ends.[/p][p][/p][p]In the meantime, I will continue to listen to feedback and improve the game. v0.52.1 - Stat tooltips!

[h2]v0.52 is released~[/h2][p]​[/p][p]The demo has been refreshed with tons of quality of life changes and balancing improvements. One of the new additions are stat tooltips, which I noticed was a feature requested the deeper you go into the game.[/p][p][/p][h3]Stat tooltips![/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p]​[/p][p]I have added the long awaited stat tooltips that lets you view where your stats are coming from. This will also help me to see and balance the game accordingly, so this addition will be pretty useful all around.[/p][p]Not all stats will have tooltips, but the major important ones like damage, HP, Regen, Crit Rate, as well as Gold and EXP% gain have been added.[/p][p][/p][h3]Quality of Life[/h3][p][/p][p]Other quality of life changes have been added, such as being able to use arrow keys to scroll through the boss dungeon.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Speaking of boss dungeons, Dark Awakens has been improved to hold more darkness, as in the full version, you can go further and summon tougher bosses for higher rewards, which require more darkness.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Next Update: Custom Keybinds[/h3][p][/p][p]I will next be adding custom shortcut keys, likely in v0.53, to allow you to rebind your keyboard shortcuts for opening various menus and actions like upgrading, so stay tuned![/p][p][/p][h3]Future Improvements[/h3][p][/p][p]I am also working on a new potion type: EXP potions, for the full version! :)[/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]And here's a sneak peek of the exclusive book equipment which will improve EXP gain. The EXP and level up system is also exclusive to the full version.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This is the best rarity so it has a lot more lines than common equipment.[/p][p][/p][p]I have also been working on new companions, such as the Fluffpaca, a fluffy alpaca, one of over 20+ new companions exclusive to the full version![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Changelog:[/h3][p][/p]

[h2]v0.46 is released~[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Companions display[/h3][p][/p][p]Owned companions are now displayed when selecting them. This is very useful for when you repeat ascensions.
