v0.34.2 - Cannon autocast

[p]v0.34.2 is released![/p][p][/p][h2]Cannon autocast![/h2][p][/p][p]I've added autocast to the cannon ability, to make it easier to control its MP usage. You can now toggle autocast on it like with regular skills.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The UI currently does not show the autocast indicator on passives, which will be added in the next update, but rest assured the feature is working and cannon is disabled when autocast is off.[/p][p][/p][h2]New use for dark matter[/h2][p]It was easy to overflow on Dark Matter after a few upgrades, so Dark Matter has been given a new use and is now used to upgrade your sentinel summoning level when unlocking a new tier.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Community Translations![/h2][p]The game is now open to community translations. Quality of Life

Faster Saving
[p]I spent two entire days debugging save timings and am happy to say that saving should now be near instant on a fresh savefile! This affects both autosave and quicksave.[/p][p][/p][p]I am making preparations for save file slots which should arrive in v0.35.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]New equipment stat lines[/h2][p]I also wanted to share how higher rarity equipment work on the full version, so here's a preview of the higher tier equipments![/p][p][/p][p]Mystic and Ancient Rings / Pendants have a chance to give four lines instead of three.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]I think this is pretty cool and although rare to get all four lines, it will be rewarding for those who get it. In future, there will be an EXP system so EXP% will be a new stat line that can be possible to get on the highest equipment tiers.[/p][p][/p][h2]Balancing[/h2][p]Fixes were also made and essence related skills were changed as it was too easy to reach 100% sentinel summon uptime with the ascension skill multiplicatively stacking off Essence Bloom companion skill.[/p][p][/p][p]Shadow Seeker darkness upgrade is also rebalanced.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Fixes[/h2][p][/p][p]I've also made a lot of fixes thanks to feedback and reports. For example, the skill names in cooldown UI sometimes did not appear. This has been fixed.[/p][p][/p]

v0.33 - New damage numbers

[p]v0.33 is released![/p][p]It contains some new visual effects for skills, new damage numbers, and some fixes![/p][p][/p][h2]New damage numbers![/h2][p]Thanks to feedback, I have improved visuals for damage numbers. Critical numbers don't only have colour changes but also subtly unique styling and gradients. Chomp and Blinding Fury, plus Cannon attacks, will each receive their own damage styling to differentiate between the different damage sources.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Healing numbers have also been improved.[/p][h2]Blinding Fury new VFX[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Blinding Fury is currently the strongest attack skill, yet it was invisible when cast.[/p][p]I am happy to finally now give it a visual effect and a screenshake effect when cast. Don't worry, it won't blind your eyes.[/p][p]Also fixed cannonballs not disappearing when leveled to 0 in v0.33.1:[/p][p][/p][h2]Full changelog:[/h2]

[h2]v0.32.5 is released![/h2][p][/p][p][/p][h2]SP Breakdown tooltip[/h2][p]Upon ascending, I was asked at least twice if the calculation for Skill Points was correct. To add greater info and transparency on how the ascension skill works and how it affects SP gain and its calculation, I have added a breakdown tooltip to enhance the death screen info.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Shortcut keys to level up attributes[/h2][p][/p][p]I previously added the shortcut keys but they were not displayed in the UI, so it was not obvious. In this update, you now see them visibly.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Early death penalty[/h2][p]This was added as there was an SP farm exploit with Dungeon bosses that allowed you to get 99 SP within 0.5 seconds, which allows you to max every skill relatively quickly. I am okay with SP gains being crazy, but the problem was that it encouraged a really boring and mundane way to play the game, which I think ruins the point of the game which is to push further and go deeper during your runs, rather than repeatedly doing the same thing within 0.5 seconds.[/p][h2][/h2][p][/p][h2]Preview of fishing companion: Underwater Pelican[/h2][p][/p][p]I made a Pelican companion! [p]v0.32.4 is released[/p][p][/p][p]Certain companions did not appear when the game was set to low quality due to a rendering optimization. Unfortunately this caused them to completely not appear visually. Thankfully it was purely a visual error as their skills and functions still apply.
