The Legend of Gromak

In the early days of the human kingdom, its shield was the knight Argantor, whose valor knew no equal. His faithful companion was his stallion, Gromak, clad in star-iron armor. In the saddle, they became one being—a living embodiment of the storm, before which not only monsters but also demons trembled.

To crush him, the horned ones assembled an entire army. Only at the cost of incalculable losses did they manage to slay Argantor. But Gromak did not flee. Standing over his master's body, he desperately defended it to his last breath. The demons, seeing this devotion, retreated. After the battle, the horse hoisted his master's body onto itself and carried it to the capital. Then, limping, Gromak left the city.

The knight's body was interred in the royal tomb. They wanted to bury Gromak next to his master, but they were never able to find him. To this day, however, on the fields of past battles, humans and demons alike see a ghostly horse in star-shaped armor. They say it is the spirit of Gromak. And he seeks not peace, but a new rider worthy of the great Argantor's legacy.
