Update on translations

Hi everyone!

As I have said on the original comments and the Discord, the translations page on translations.bitl.dev is down, due to my hosting software, YunoHost, removing the software for the site after an update for it failed. Fortunately, all the data is safe and was saved in a backup. However, I wasn't able to restore the backup or re-install the software that runs translations.bitl.dev, so I found an alternative and uploaded the data there.

The original blog post store.steampowered.com/news/app/397680/view/4536906156535185614 will be updated with the new link. If you're interested in translating, I'd highly recommend reading this post.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

[UPDATED] Translations page now open! + How to contribute to translations.

Hey all, recently I just set up a new translation page for FIREFIGHT RELOADED if anyone would like to contribute.

UPDATE: new link. Read store.steampowered.com/news/app/397680/view/4477236002110309476 for more info.

https://gitlocalize.com/repo/9958

This features the original translations made by FarSeer (Russian) and Insane Black Rock Shooter (Simplified Chinese) as a basis. You won't need an account, you have the full ability to suggest translations. UPDATE: Due to the site change, you will need a GitHub account to suggest translations.

All translations will be manually reviewed before they are merged into FIREFIGHT RELOADED. Any strings deemed malicious will have strings reverted back to English. Do not use any machine-translation service or AI. Translations will be reviewed and/or approved before the release of an update.

UPDATE: For Chinese translators: GitLocalize doesn't have Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese specifically, so it is set up slightly wierdly here:

"Chinese, China" is zh_Hant (Traditional Chinese)
"Chinese" is zh_Hans (Simplified Chinese)

If you would like to be credited in FIREFIGHT RELOADED for your language contributions, please post in the Steam discussions page for this blog post with the language name you are translating the game into.

EDIT: some additional things I need to note:

Translations will have 2 phases of approval:
1. They will be merged into the main repo at 100% to save and preserve the language throughout development. They don't get added into the beta branches until the update reaches the finalization stage, within a month or so from planned release date.
2. Upon the finalization stage of a new update, the finished languages will be reviewed and get added into the mod. If any problematic language string/s are found or anything that violates the rules above, they will be removed and the language won't be added into the mod until the string/s are fixed.

DO NOT USE GitLocalize's MACHINE TRANSLATION SERVICE AS IT WILL RESULT IN THE LANGUAGE GETTING RESET AS IT WILL VIOLATE THE ABOVE RULES.

New major FIREFIGHT RELOADED update in development!

Hello everyone! I am proud to announce that the next FIREFIGHT RELOADED major update is in development. Titled "INVASION", it is planned to be released sometime in 2025, just in time for FIREFIGHT RELOADED's 10th anniversary. It is going to introduce new enemies (to FR), weapons and upgrades to the FIREFIGHT RELOADED sandbox. This update will also improve on the gameplay, but not to the level of ENDGAME as it is focused on content.

If you would like to test out the update as it develops, check out the public "beta" branch. You can access the branch by going to the mods's properties in Steam, and then going to Betas. Afterwards, select "beta" in the drop down menu. Beta update changelogs will be in the FIREFIGHT RELOADED discord as, going forward, I don't want to fill up the community tab with update changelogs for an update that hasn't released yet. I feel like it clutters space when update teasers, dev blogs, bugfix changelogs, major update FAQs, and major update changelogs should be the main focus for the community tab. The discord guild is at https://discord.gg/4MfShzF in the #development-and-beta-updates channel if you wish to access the changelogs.
