WITHOUT A HITCH Playtest #2 is LIVE!

WITHOUT A HITCH Playtest #2 is LIVE and FREE to all players until [DATE / TIME]!

Assemble your convoy of friends on Steam (or using Crossplay), pick up the package, and navigate chaotic landscapes to make your deliveries across daytime and nighttime maps!

We've been hard at work since the first playtest, fixing issues and updating the game based on player feedback. This new playtest includes:
  • Two New Delivery Missions: One daylight mission and one nighttime mission.
  • Two New Maps: Each delivery mission features a new procedurally-generated map. These maps are the same for all players during the playtest, while the final game will feature procedurally-generated maps for each delivery mission.
  • Home Base: New introduction experience via a new home base.
  • Vehicle Upgrades: New upgrades can be purchased.
  • There's more, but we'll let you discover that for yourselves!


Please remember to complete the player survey after the playtest so we can hear what you think. Players who complete the survey will receive a code to unlock the exclusive Confetti Cannon cosmetic when WITHOUT A HITCH releases!

WITHOUT A HITCH: Playtest Update #1

Thank you to everyone who has played the first day of the playtest! We just pushed out a new update with some changes and fixed, which are detailed below.

We've been keeping a keen eye out for any bugs, so please let us know here in the Steam Discussions or on our Discord! We'll do our best to address them ASAP!

[h2]Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed treasure car not spawning correctly on client, and sometimes being invisible
  • Crane audio doesn't doubleplay on host
  • Horn tester in customization window is mixed correctly now
  • Shiny shader on car parts no longer uses world position to animate (caused strobe like effect when parts picked up and moving)
  • Continue button on Thank You screen now on top of text, can press button in free aspect resolution
  • Client now receives upgrades but still disabled in game for now
  • Upgrades now cost money and are fully disabled when the team does not have enough money
  • Client upgrades apply correctly and are reflected in CarUI, host upgrades still works as it did before
  • Pressure plates no longer detect players early
  • Fixed issue with round robin spawning
  • Connected Player Display is less deformed
  • Fix package rotating when pressing E to interact
  • Package respawns on random player after falling into the void
  • Fixed buttons on message and host dialog for non16x9 resolutions


[h2]Changes[/h2]
  • Mines now cause package to lose value when within blast radius added more settings for mouse in settings menu
  • Added an AntiAliasing setting
  • Discord link added to playtest disclaimer screen
  • The sliding door will now slowly push your car towards a parallel alignment to assist in opening it
  • Upgrades are not allowed to be purchased if the player has a better or same upgrade
  • Vehicle explosions are quicker and apply blast force to nearby vehicles and objects
    Mines now blast vehicle farther (using same explosion force logic as vehicle explosions)
  • Upgrades no longer carry forward after death
  • Increased package damage value loss by x10
  • Upgrades listed as coming soon on the demo build.
  • Upgrades not purchasable on demo build.
  • Updated text on the final screen to say you can play again
  • Added a Single Player button to the menu that starts a local game.
  • Disabled Admin Keys for Teleporting the Package and Freezing the Car in the Demo Build
