Patch v.0.25.5

[p][/p]
Patch Notes 0.25.5

Important:
• [p]Save Folder is changed from "Dungeons _ Warbands" to "Dungeons and Warbands" on Windows, please simply move your save files manually if you want to continue from them (In path: C:\\Users\\\[USERNAME]\\AppData\\LocalLow\\OmerErenturk). Sorry for this inconvenience.[/p]
 • [p]Demo vs. Full Release Split: The Demo and Main Release versions are now separate. While the Demo will likely not receive new content updates, it will remain available as a sandbox experience with infinite dungeons and no level caps. Critical bug fixes will still be applied to both versions.[/p]
New Features & Improvements
• [p]Added Action Bar to World Map: Many of you asked for the Action Bar (used to equip potions and set skills) to be visible in the World Map scene, so it is now added![/p]
 • [p]Loading Screen Tips: Added helpful game tips to the loading screens.[/p]
 • [p]Combat Sound Fix: Attack sounds (other than bow shots) were not triggering correctly on mouse clicks. This is now fixed.[/p]
 • [p]Experience Slider Fix: Fixed the XP slider to correctly display current progress toward the next level.[/p]
 • [p]Combat Log Improvements: Damage reporting in the combat logs is now simplified. I fixed the inconsistent values where one was showing a calculation before final modifiers were applied. Special thanks to @Swalscha for bringing this to my attention![/p]
 • [p]Potion Grading: Updated the names for various potion item grades.[/p]
 • [p]Item Swapping Fix: Fixed a bug where similar items but with quality tiers or enchantment levels would merge instead of swapping them in the inventory.[/p]
Known Issues
• [p]Skill System: The skill system still has some bugs and need an overhaul. I have not been able to focus on this yet as I am still recovering from the flu. I appreciate your patience and hope to have this fixed in the next patch.[/p]
 • [p]Progress Reset Bug: Two players have reported an unusual progress reset. I am working to fix this quickly. If you encounter this, please send your log file to me. You can find instructions on how to do that here.[/p]
[p]I am focusing on more QoL improvements, bug fixes, and more polishing with several more patches over the following 2 to 3 weeks before moving on to the next phase of development with new content additions. Please always feel free to reach me with any ideas, feedback to share or bugs you encountered, I am reading all your messages and trying to answer each one of them within my ability always.[/p]
You Can Help!
[p]If you enjoyed the game or believe in this project, your support with a Positive Review will be extremely helpful. It will prevent Steam algorhythm from burying the game in the depths of the store and help me reach the financial sustainability needed to keep working hard on this project, to make this game that you will always enjoy, so please support the game with your positive review. Thank you![/p][p]-Omer[/p]

The Release & The Road Ahead
🕹️ A Note from the Developer & the Roadmap
[p]The release date has come sooner than I would have liked. As a solo developer with real financial limitations, I had to launch earlier than I had planned. This is not the version I dreamed of shipping. There is more content I want to add, and I want the game to feel more complete before calling it a real release. But, Early Access exists exactly for this kind of journey, and I want to be honest with you about where things stand.[/p][p]With your support, I can keep building and make this into something I am truly proud of. Here is what I am working on right now:[/p]
 • [p]Horses: Including horse armor and caparisons.[/p]
 • [p]Helms: Adding helms is trickier than it sounds. To fit a chainmail coif with/without a kettle helm on a character, I first need to make each character bald separately, so I can hide the hair when a helm is worn and bring the hair back when the helm is removed. There is a further difficulty I didn't mention too. So implementing helms takes time, but they will look right when done.[/p]
 • [p]Diplomacy: Talking with neutral, allied, and enemy warbands, and being able to start a fight right in the middle of a conversation, similar to Mount and Blade.[/p]
 • [p]Zones and Conquest: Showing which settlements and dungeons belong to which faction, and letting players attack and take control of them. Maybe using siege weapons too! I am excited for this. [/p]
 • [p]Localization: Due to my messy coding habits, much of the game text is currently spread across many different scripts, which makes translation difficult. My first step is to centralize all text into a manageable spreadsheet. After that, I will bring in different languages one by one, starting with Japanese, as they have shown the second-largest interest in the game.[/p]
 • [p]New Races and Cultures: Gnolls, Catmen, Ratmen, Dwarves, Elementals, Golems, Beasts, and different human cultures including Steppe, Desert, and Asian.[/p]
 • [p]New Character Builds: Necromancer with an undead army you can raise and create destruction, and Wizard with magic to unleash your fury and elementals to summon, Druid to call nature to your aid, and more.[/p]
 • [p]Female Characters & Culture: Adding female avatars for players to choose from, maybe along with a dedicated female warrior culture to hire competent female warriors.[/p]
 • [p]Town Screens: Would you like to see nicely painted Settlements (and Dungeons) when you visit, like in Heroes of Might and Magic series or Battle Brothers instead of the current buttons? [/p]
[p]One honest thing I want to share: art takes up about 90% of my time, even though I feel much more productive and creative when I am coding and building new systems. Every purchase you make helps me get closer to bringing in professional artists, which means I can spend more time doing what I do best and bring new content to you faster. Thank you for being part of this![/p]

Patch v.0.25.4

[p][/p]
Patch Notes 0.25.4
[p]New Features & Improvements[/p]
 • [p]Added a camera movement animation speed slider in the Main Menu, allowing players to adjust or lower the camera transition speed to their preference. Thanks to @willsama974 for the suggestion![/p]
 • [p]Dropped items on the ground now appear visually more correct. [/p]
 • [p]Windowed Mode is now supported. Players can switch between fullscreen and windowed from the settings. Thanks @RonEmpire for reminding me to add this! [/p]
[p]Bug Fixes[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where clicking the Retry button while in a Victory state would not properly reset the Victory screen.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed a bug where using a potion from the Action Bar would incorrectly remove it from the bar instead of updating it properly.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed the Hardware Cursor toggle, which was not working correctly. Thanks @RonEmpire for reporting the bug![/p]
[p][/p]

Patch v.0.25.3

[p][/p]
Patch Notes 0.25.3 (Includes 0.25.2)
• [p]Line of Sight: Archers can no longer shoot through walls. Special thanks to @Zakalwe for reporting this![/p]
 • [p]Hidden in Darkness: Enemies are now properly hidden by darkness in dungeons unless they are within a certain distance (currently, 30 paces, slightly beyond torch light. I can decrease it if requested) and in a direct line of sight.[/p]
 • [p]Stability: Eliminated a rare potential crash that occurred when encountering a warband.[/p]
 • [p]Dungeon Systems: Fixed an issue where dungeon states were not saving correctly. The entrance button was using an outdated system that failed to record the Encounter ID, causing the save state to fail. This is now resolved.[/p]
 • [p]Visuals: Fixed an issue where light would leak through dungeon walls.[/p]
 • [p]Audio: Fixed missing SFX for various inventory actions, specifically when purchasing items.[/p]
 • [p]Controls: Separated UI scrolling from gameplay zoom. Using the mouse wheel no longer triggers both actions simultaneously.[/p]
 • [p]ActionBar: Fixed a bug where items moved from Vendors to the ActionBar were being deleted.[/p]
 • [p]Item Dropping: Fixed the Inventory DropCell functionality.[/p]
 • [p]Loot Management: Items dropped from both the Inventory and the ActionBar now correctly accumulate in the same loot bag.[/p]
 • [p]Skills: Fixed a bug where skills would disappear from the ActionBar when moving potions into an ActionBar slot.[/p]

Patch v.0.25.1

[p][/p]
Hotfix Patch 0.25.1: Critical Bug Fixes
[p]This is a quick update to resolve several issues introduced by the recent Dynamic Warband logistics system.[/p]
 • [p]Dungeon Access: Fixed a bug that caused the "Enter" button to disappear, preventing players from entering dungeons.[/p]
 • [p]Battlefield Cleanup: The battlefield is now properly cleared when using the "Retry" button.[/p]
 • [p]Ghost Characters: Resolved an issue where characters from previous battles would erroneously appear in new encounters. A big thank you to @Krankus Wrexus for reporting this![/p]
 • [p]Unit Count Correction: Fixed a bug where the actual number of characters in a battle was double the amount displayed.[/p]
