OUR BIGGEST UPDATE IS ON THE HORIZON
I'm gonna say it outright. V4 will be our best update yet.

I mean. This feature list is insane:
• [p]Couch co-op[/p]
 • [p]Level 2 Added[/p]
 • [p]First Unskippable Boss Battle (The Saprobe Broodmother)[/p]
 • [p]New Goblin Spacestation Enemy [/p]
 • [p]Gravity Gun[/p]
 • [p]Scorecard Stats Overhaul (for nerds like me this is hype)[/p][p][/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Now with all of this heat, Jakub and I need time to cook
[p]Our goal is to have V4 drop around New Years. Can’t promise that exact timeline. But it's our internal team target. Digitdill got you though. Just finished landscaping work for the season as winter is coming so I now have ample time to #devoidit.[/p][p][/p]
Our bold bet on the market
[p]We are sidelining online multiplayer and sticking with solely couch co-op. What? Why? That's like the exact opposite direction the market is heading. Online multiplayer “friend slop" is at an all time high. True. But today we are more isolated than ever. Online multiplayer is a facade. It's not the real human interaction we crave. Devoid will bring people back together. So we can game together in the same room. Just like the glory days. [/p][p][/p][p]We were recently featured on the Rural Renaissance Substack where I talk about this in more depth. It's a valid read.[/p][p][/p][p]Also if you think this is crazy, it's not because Steam agrees with us. The Steam Machine is coming out in 2026. In person gaming is the future. The games market just doesn't know what's cool yet.  [/p][p][/p]
Did you play V3?
[p]No? Well don’t miss out on the fun. It’s an early build. But trust the process, it's solid. If you did, we’d love to hear your feedback. We have a lovely discord where people discuss Devoid and such. You can also comment your thoughts on this blog post. Shii, I mean if you’re old school you can even email me at [email protected]. [/p][p][/p][p]And if you want to support the game don't forget to wishlist Devoid. It helps us out ton. [/p][p][/p]
Thanksgiving is tomorrow
[p]Just want to say we are very thankful for all of the support we have. If you’re a fan of Devoid you’re part of the Luminous Bits fam. Don’t hesitate to reach out and say hi. Also we are thankful for the opportunity to even develop Devoid. Blessed to have the vision for this game. [/p][p][/p][p]Alright. I think that's all. My computer is broken asf. So I wrote this while Godot took 30 minutes to boot up lol.
[/p][p]- Charlie Dill (Digitdill)[/p][p][/p][p]Jakub (technical mind behind Devoid) says hi to all Devoiders.[/p]

THE DEVOID PLAYTEST HAS OPENED
Last night we dropped V3 on Steam.
[p]It's an early build of the game. Making you one of the first pilots to embark. The core gameplay and vibe will stay consistent as we continue development, though some features may evolve over time.[/p][p][/p]
Message to Mac mains
[p]If you’re on MacOS… you’ll have to wait a little longer. Basically it was the only thing holding us back from releasing on Steam, so we side-stepped it for now and will be working to add it as soon as possible. That said we have a Mac download up on the Devoid itch page. [/p][p][/p]
Lets us know whats up
[p]We love hearing feedback. Feel free to share your thoughts here on Steam or in the official Devoid discord. [/p][p][/p][p]Having Devoid in your library this early is a cool niche flex. The playtest is free and an easy pickup for the collection. [/p][p][/p][p]Good luck out there,[/p][p]-Luminous Bits[/p]

FULL STEAM AHEAD
Devoid is in the review process!
[p]We are beyond excited, because in a few weeks time you will be able to download Devoid V3, and give it a go on the world's best PC gaming platform (dont @ me Epic Games). In short, this move makes downloading and interacting with us significantly easier.[/p][p][/p]
We really put the carriage in front of the horse. Isn't this a little early?
[p]Yes. And deliberately so. We wanted to put ourselves out there now, because it allows us to collect wishlists over time. Wishlists ultimately will determine our fate. So if you like the game and want to see it do well, make sure to smash that wishlist button. Get your friends to wishlist, maybe even Grandma if she’s up to it. I know my Grandma will.[/p][p][/p]
Should I play V3 when it comes to Steam or wait to avoid spoilers?
[p]Because Devoid focuses on skill, strategy, and replayability rather than a fixed story, playing early won’t spoil the game. Instead, it offers a sweet opportunity for you to influence its evolution and help us build a challenging, polished twin-stick shooter. We have a great Discord community where we discuss game ideas, and Jakub and I share behind the scenes development.[/p][p][/p]
What can we expect the final version to look like?
[p]The full version of Devoid will expand on the foundation we’ve already built. The core gameplay, skill-based combat, dungeon-like map, energy management, and station-to-station progression is already in place and won’t change dramatically.[/p][p][/p]
Can I play V3 now?
[p]Yes, we have a build of Devoid up on Itch.io (The soundcloud of videogames). [/p][p][/p]
Devlog #2 is out!
[p]Watch months of progress in just 7 minutes:[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Alright. Digitdill out. Back to the lab with Jakub.[/p][p][/p][p]Forward this to a friend who needs some Devoid in their life fr.[/p][p][/p][p]- LUMINOUS BITS[/p]
