We’ve released a hotfix that should fix the issue surrounding some languages (e.g. Russian, Chinese, etc.) not working for text inputs, particularly on crafted signs and server passwords.

Please update your game and servers when you get a moment away from scientific study. If you don't receive an update, verify your game files.
