Timber Rush Update - v0.2.2

[p]Hi everyone![/p][p][/p][p]I have worked on an update on the demo to add achievements to the game (still need to connect to Steam Achievements) and completely revamped the shop page.[/p][p][/p][p]Highlights:[/p]
 • [p]I have added an achievements page. Most of these will be completed as you progress through the demo, but there are a few trickier ones that will require specific builds.[/p]
 • [p]I have revamped the shop page, now known as the crew page. It holds the player and upcoming crew slots, cumulative stats of the selected player/crew member, and then the shop at the bottom. I hope it feels intuitive, but am open to feedback![/p]
 • [p]I fixed a few bugs and added some small QoLs.[/p]
[p][/p]
Achievements
[p][/p][p]I have added 17 achievements for the demo. Most are normal progression achievements, but there are a few that need some luck or very specific level up selections (looking at you Fast Hands). Remember to take advantage of the reroll system, will help tremendously if luck is not on your side![/p][p][/p][p]Alongside the Achievements page, I've added pop up messages when you reach an achievement for some added dopamine.[/p][p][/p]
Crew Page
[p][/p][p]I have consolidated the Shop page with the upcoming Crew page (Spoiler: your crew will be the automated lumberjacks that you can customize). In my testing I had to keep going back and forth between these pages, which felt like a terrible player experience, so I just combined them. The shop is smaller, but I think all information is still conveyed well enough (open to feedback though). As an added bonus I have added a stats pane in this new view to see how all stats from axes, characters and the skill tree come together, so hopefully some find that useful.[/p][p][/p][p]I was worried that there may be too much going on with the Crew page, I'd love to hear from you guys![/p]

[p][/p][p]Thanks everyone who has played the demo so far and provided feedback to help make the game better![/p][p][/p][p]-Josh[/p][p]Solo Developer, Timber Rush[/p]

Timber Rush Demo Hotfix - v0.1.4 Knowledge is Power Bug

[p]Hi everyone![/p][p][/p][p]I accidentally made the rare variant of "Knowledge is Power" extremely overpowered, the upper range should have been 8% but actually was 80% due to a missing 0 (should have been 0.08, and I had 0.8). A member of our Discord was able to exploit that and get nearly 800k logs in a single run. Which is insane but also awesome.[/p][p][/p][p]This has been resolved, and I appreciate everyone playing the demo :)[/p][p][/p][p]-Josh[/p][p]Solo developer, Timber Rush[/p]

Timber Rush Update - v0.1.3

[p]Hi everyone![/p][p][/p][p]I have worked on a minor update on the demo to make the wood chopping experience a bit more smooth and a few additional QoLs.[/p][p][/p][p]Highlights:[/p]
 • [p]Updated some translations to make a bit more sense. Specifically "Axes" was being translated as "Axis" and "Logs" were being translated as "System logs" or "Records". Still other languages to tackle (looking at you Russian and Chinese).[/p]
 • [p]Rerolls can now be bought, giving gold an additional purpose. I'll be keeping an eye on feedback to see if the initial cost and cost function needs to be tuned. Free rerolls will be used first if bought within the Skill Tree, then further rerolls are purchasable, so go out spend that hard earned gold to get the exact upgrades to further your chopping experience.[/p]
 • [p]I have updated the upgrade selection panel to now allow users to use their keyboard to select upgrades. Use the arrow keys (or a/d) to move through the upgrades, then press enter to select. Makes it a bit better experience to not have to actively switch to the mouse mid run especially with the number of upgrades that you can get by the end of the demo. I haven't touched any other keyboard navigation yet, but that is on the to-do lost.[/p]
 • [p]The Discord link has been fixed. I must have copied the link when there was a 7 day expiration (rookie mistake), so hopefully we start seeing more people join the discord and chat about bugs or future possible upgrades you would like to see![/p]
 • [p]Finally I did cave, and I have included the second character for purchase in the demo. Let's hear it for the Goblin! Increased speed and a gold multiplier, whats not to love? [/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p]Thanks everyone who has played the demo so far and provided feedback to help make the game better![/p][p][/p][p]-Josh[/p][p]Solo Developer, Timber Rush[/p]
