Settings or Keybinding Issues

Settings and keybindings have been altered with this patch to include a new binding.

If you encounter issues with your Settings or Keybinding, please try the following steps:
Go to the Settings Menu press reset and close the menu.

If this does not work, close the game reopen it and follow the same step in the main menu.
If that does not resolve the issue, close the game and delete the PersistentSettings and InputMappings save files found in

C:\Users\ YOURUSER \AppData\Local\LordofRigel\Saved\SaveGames

You may also need to delete input.ini found in:

C:\Users\ YOURUSER \AppData\Local\LordofRigel\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\

Recent Updates

Greetings Lords of Rigel!

As we get closer to next month's 1,0 date we have had some updates with community bug fixes and some small quality of life adjustments.

The last update and set of hotfixes have looked at cases where ship experience wasn't being calculated properly when in auto combat with space monsters, fixes for turn ETAs with stargates and warp amplifiers, more technology exchange options, and finally an update on the shader effects for terrestrial planets.

LoR has non-procedurally generated planets (homeworlds) and other planets have procedurally generated continents and oceans tied to the galaxy seed, star type, and distance from their star. So polar caps are larger when further away from a star, or around a colder star type.

With the last update normal maps which add height details to planets vary more based on the heightmaps. So on radiated and barren type planets the lava fields look slightly different from the cratered areas and on terran and gaia worlds mountains jump out more.

Tech exchange options also now unlock when you have a research treaty, non-aggression pact, or alliance with another faction and you both have unique technologies that can be exchanged.

What's coming next?

The plan is to continue to resolve any critical issues and provide quality of life updates.

Currently an update to show ally fuel and sensor ranges based on user feedback is planned for the next small update.

We're also working on steam trading cards and backgrounds to go with the release. Each card reflects one of the heroes in LoR.
