Fifth anniversary of Project Arrhythmia!

For those that don't know, this is the weekend of the anniversary of the game's launch on Steam. Without being too dramatic, I really do thank you all for changing my life.

[h3]New features:[/h3]
  • Added tons of new options to parallax objects, including animations. Please give feedback as this is a new feature and I want to make sure it hits some of yall's wants.
  • New editor setting allows the creator to change the collapsed object size per level.
  • Editor should now handle weird screen sizes better, so please, try with ultrawides!
[h3]Improvements:[/h3]
  • Overhaul to how the visual novel segments work to make them more user friendly and less buggy.
  • Improved intro sequence.
  • Updated rewired to help with scroll wheel issues.
  • Minor UI improvements.
  • Fixed couple issues with scrolling in object timeline.
[h3]Changes and bug fixes:[/h3]
  • Cleaned up a lot of unused assets to reduce the game's file size.
  • Fixed some naming errors in the game's code.
  • Lots of fixes for markers being kinda not great.
    • I recommend you create a new marker, then save and reload the level in any level you previously had issues with. That will ensure it will be working moving forward.
  • Fixed post level screen having issues on weird resolutions.
  • Fixed multiple keyframe types being dragged and not updating properly.
  • Attempted fixing any issues with objects spawning like parallax objects (due to a camera glitch). Let me know if that's still an issue.

  • Made editor elements render slightly better and some minor UI / UX improvements.
  • Added object text/color overrides in editor.
  • Added editing to multiple events in the editor at once.
  • Added ability to glitch characters.
  • Improved character animations and timeline options.
  • Updates to story levels.
  • Minor generate UI improvements.
  • Better handling of multi-selection.
  • Better memory management in some cases. Should improve performance on lower end machines a bit.
  • Handling zooming in and out on the timeline should be now way the heck better lmao.
  • Made keyframe selection in events timeline match object timeline more.
  • More VN improvements.

  • Fixed restarting a level not resetting hit count in some cases.
  • Fixed issue with moderate/basic levels being weird.
  • Fixed for end level stat over count.
  • Fixed note time input.
  • Made sure text objects can never hurt the player (get nerf'd lmao).
  • Fixed various general editor issues.

  • Reverted TMP character changes.
  • Updated TMP to 3.0.8.
  • Added new "restartlevelevent" for Modders.
  • Changed some localization text.
  • Fixed issue with text objects having collision in unexpected places.
  • Fixed issue with triggers being weird in editor.
  • Made sure there's no pool bleed on parallax objects.

    • Added several new keycodes for the editor. Find them in the help section.
    • New end level screen with data from your run.
    • Added ability to select parallax text/object text from preview.
    • Added ability to turn off text selection in editor settings.

    • Added new reload level button in editor.
    • Added ability to lock X/Y triggers to editor.
    • Added dash direction trigger to editor.
    • Made markers jump to time and show where on the timeline they jumped when swapped between.
    • Made keyframes jump to time and show where on the timeline they jumped when swapped between.

    • Fixed theme hash collision error.

    • Removed GameManager and renamed GameManager2 (please take note mod makers).
    • Fixed issue with editor settings not saving.
    • Fixed issue with settings window appearing before being opened.
    • Triggers are now properly reset more often.
    • Fixed BG objects animations not reloading properly.
    • Fixed issue with SFX being toggled back on automatically.
    • Made settings file always generate values.
    • Minor UI improvements.
