It is perhaps the best-armed version of the Typhoon platform, featuring a Spitsa turret. Several vehicles of this type have been built and are currently in use by the Russian military. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Typhoon-VDV is a Tier 10 Premium AFV. It is a powerful vehicle on its own, featuring high firepower in the form of 30mm autocannon and an ATGM launcher with two tubes loaded with thermobaric missiles that can be launched both at once. Its task on the battlefield is supporting other scout vehicles by increasing their spotting capabilities thanks to a new active ability.[/p][p]The Typhoon-VDV Tier 10 Premium AFV is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]BMP-2M Berezhok[/h2][p][/p][p]The BMP-2M Berezhok is one of the latest modifications of the now obsolete Soviet BMP-2. It received a new turret and a limited numbers of these infantry fighting vehicles are already in service. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the BMP-2M is a Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. While not exactly well-armored, it is fitted with multiple weapon systems, including a powerful 30mm autocannon and deadly Kornet missiles. Despite its light armor, the BTR-82A can – especially in its upgraded form with missile launchers – hit the enemy where it hurts. Fast, maneuverable and rugged, in skilled hands the BTR-82A turns into one of the deadliest machines of its Tier.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Kurganets-25[/h2][p][/p][p]The Kurganets-25 Infantry Fighting Vehicle is intended as a cutting edge future replacement to the old BMP series in Russian service. While not as chunky and expensive as the T-15 Armata super-heavy IFV, it’s designed to finally offer the 21st century protection levels the Russian military has been demanding for a long time. However, the design turned out to be quite expensive and while it is currently undergoing state trials, it is unlikely to be ever mass-produced. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Kurganets-25 is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. Even though it offers decent protection and mobility for its class, this vehicle is all about firepower. To make sure you always have the right tool for the job, it comes with three distinctive weapon systems – a 57mm autocannon for light targets, fast and small Bulat missiles for highly mobile targets and, finally, full-sized ATGMs that can defeat pretty much anything on the battlefield. If dealing damage is your thing, few vehicles will match your playstyle better.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Msta-S[/h2][p][/p][p]The Msta-S SPG was developed as a replacement to the older 2S3 Akatsiya. The goal was to match (or surpass) the newly developed NATO artillery pieces with long 155mm guns. The production began in 1988 and is currently ongoing with a modernized variant rolling out for the Russian military. More than 500 Msta-S SPGs are still in Russian service and dozens were exported to several other countries. It has seen some combat during the Second Chechen War and the War in Donbass. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Msta-S is a Tier 9 Self-Propelled Gun, which makes it only usable in the Global Operations mode and in PvE. It comes with two shell types – a slow-flying one with a high flight arc, and a fast-flying one for use against more mobile targets.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Khrizantema-S[/h2][p][/p][p]The Khrizantema-S is a dedicated tank hunter, built on a modified BMP-3 hull. The first Khrizantema-S prototype appeared in public as early as 1996 with the initial production variant (9P157) entering service in 2005. Around 2010, an upgraded variant called 9P157-2 appeared with a modernized Ukrainian optics system and a hull machinegun the original model lacked. This variant was in use until 2017. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Khizantema-S is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer. It is quite a stealthy vehicle armed with a twin ATGM launcher. The key to achieving excellent results with this machine is long-range ATGM sniping followed by rapid relocation. The missiles are quite powerful and make hits easy thanks to their excellent performance.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]T-72B3[/h2][p][/p][p]The T-72B3 is the most modern Russian T-72 variant currently in service. It is a heavily upgraded version of the T-72B, featuring Kontakt-5 ERA kit and an improved Fire Control System. Together, these modifications allow the aging T-72 to serve well into the 21st century. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article![/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the T-72B3 is a Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank. It continues the tradition of other Russian tanks. Its low silhouette, good mobility, powerful 125mm gun and its advanced ERA kit make it a formidable opponent. [p]Vehicle Fixes and Updates[/p][p]With each patch we continue (and will continue) to update vehicles based on your feedback and fix them. In this update, we have the following changes for you:[/p]

• [p]Fixed an issue where selecting different weapons on a single vehicle did not change its characteristics in the Garage window[/p]
• [p]BMT-72-140: Fixed the incorrect gun depression and elevation values in the Garage window[/p]
• [p]Borsuk: Applying camouflage no longer makes the vehicle look dirty from mud[/p]
• [p]CATTB: Fixed the missing ERA element on the right side in the Armor Inspector window[/p]
• [p]Leopard 2A6 Hades: Fixed the antenna flying in the air[/p]
• [p]M60A3: Fixed an issue where the gun could fire through targets at close distances[/p]
• [p]M8 MGM-166: Fixed the entire collision model that was larger than the vehicle[/p]

[p]Commanders![/p][p]In recent news, we unveiled the Gromozeka skin that’s coming as a part of the Beasts of Steel event. The event’s complementing the Rough Riders Battle Path and is generally Russian-themed, because what would American armed forces be without proper adversaries?[/p][p][/p][p]Aside from Rough Riders Battle Coins and Battle Coin boosters, the prizes will include new camouflages and animal-themed decals and that’s what we’d like to tell you more about today. Most of these camouflages have been seen fairly recently in real life, although some are quite a bit older. Let’s take a look at them in the order they appear in the event.[/p][p]Let’s start with the Russian (Marines) camouflage. This atypical camouflage was seen fairly recently on a BMP-2 belonging to the 299th Marines Training Center “Saturn” of the Baltic Fleet in Kaliningrad.[/p][p][/p][p]Next up are three recently seen digital camouflages – Woodland, Desert and Urban. These were seen during the Army 2020 and Army 2021 expos in Moscow on different vehicles, including the Tigr armored car. These camouflages are used only during expos instead of combat as Russia (unlike Ukraine) isn’t using digital camouflages en masse.[/p][p][/p][p]Another camouflage we’ll have for you is called Russian (39th Motor Rifle Brigade) and, as its name suggests, it was seen on a T-55AM belonging to the eponymous unit in 2015. This Far East unit from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk has a long history reaching back to the early days of the Second World War, having fought the Japanese in Manchuria.[/p][p][/p][p]Finally, there’s the Russian (Spots) camouflage seen on a T-72A in 2024, an interesting twist on the traditional Russian black-sand-green colors.[/p][p][/p][p]We’ll also have several animal-themed decals for you, including:[/p]

• [p]Dolphin – emblem of the Soviet 336th Marines Brigade, as seen on a PT-76 in Baltiysk in 1990[/p]
• [p]Swallow – emblem of the Soviet 15th Guards Mechanized Brigade during the Second World War[/p]
• [p]Deer – emblem of the Soviet 13th Guards Mechanized Brigade during the Second World War[/p]
• [p]Elephant – emblem of the Soviet 14th Guards Mechanized Brigade during the Second World War[/p]
• [p]Elk – emblem of the Soviet 740th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment during the Second World War[/p]

[p]And last but not least, there’s the emblem belonging to the Soviet 24th "Iron" Motor Guards Division garrisoned in Lvov, as seen in 1989. This decal doesn’t contain the image of an animal (it’s a depiction of a river and mountains) but is tied to a story involving a T-72B1 with three layers of ERA on top of each other, a deliberate attempt at disinformation from the Soviet side. We considered the story interesting enough to add it.[/p][p][/p][p]But that’s still not all. Three older skins await you as well:[/p]

The Panther is one of western next-gen MBT projects, much like the EMBT and the next-generation Abrams. The KF51 Panther is at its core a medium-range vehicle with reliable armor and solid firepower that, in addition to its 130mm gun and NERA armor, boasts a powerful missile launcher. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Panzer 87-140[/h2][p][/p][p]The Panzer 87-140 is an experimental version of Panzer 87 (Swiss Leopard 2A4), fitted with a RUAG 140mm smoothbore cannon and an armor kit called WE. It was developed in the 1980s and early 1990s to counter the next generation of Soviet MBTs, but with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the project was shelved, only to resurface around 2005-2006 but never passing the experimental stage. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Panzer 87-140 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. Much like other Leopard series MBTs, it’s a long-range fighter with an extremely powerful gun and the ability to fire with pinpoint accuracy. Even though its armor leaves much to be desired, at long range, this MBT has few equals and can be considered one of the best snipers of its class.[/p][p]The Panzer 87-140 Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates.
