Historical Camouflages – Modern Russian

[p]Commanders![/p][p]In recent news, we unveiled the Gromozeka skin that’s coming as a part of the Beasts of Steel event. The event’s complementing the Rough Riders Battle Path and is generally Russian-themed, because what would American armed forces be without proper adversaries?[/p][p][/p][p]Aside from Rough Riders Battle Coins and Battle Coin boosters, the prizes will include new camouflages and animal-themed decals and that’s what we’d like to tell you more about today. Most of these camouflages have been seen fairly recently in real life, although some are quite a bit older. Let’s take a look at them in the order they appear in the event.[/p][p]Let’s start with the Russian (Marines) camouflage. This atypical camouflage was seen fairly recently on a BMP-2 belonging to the 299th Marines Training Center “Saturn” of the Baltic Fleet in Kaliningrad.[/p][p][/p][p]Next up are three recently seen digital camouflages – Woodland, Desert and Urban. These were seen during the Army 2020 and Army 2021 expos in Moscow on different vehicles, including the Tigr armored car. These camouflages are used only during expos instead of combat as Russia (unlike Ukraine) isn’t using digital camouflages en masse.[/p][p][/p][p]Another camouflage we’ll have for you is called Russian (39th Motor Rifle Brigade) and, as its name suggests, it was seen on a T-55AM belonging to the eponymous unit in 2015. This Far East unit from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk has a long history reaching back to the early days of the Second World War, having fought the Japanese in Manchuria.[/p][p][/p][p]Finally, there’s the Russian (Spots) camouflage seen on a T-72A in 2024, an interesting twist on the traditional Russian black-sand-green colors.[/p][p][/p][p]We’ll also have several animal-themed decals for you, including:[/p]
 • [p]Dolphin – emblem of the Soviet 336th Marines Brigade, as seen on a PT-76 in Baltiysk in 1990[/p]
 • [p]Swallow – emblem of the Soviet 15th Guards Mechanized Brigade during the Second World War[/p]
 • [p]Deer – emblem of the Soviet 13th Guards Mechanized Brigade during the Second World War[/p]
 • [p]Elephant – emblem of the Soviet 14th Guards Mechanized Brigade during the Second World War[/p]
 • [p]Elk – emblem of the Soviet 740th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment during the Second World War[/p]
[p]And last but not least, there’s the emblem belonging to the Soviet 24th "Iron" Motor Guards Division garrisoned in Lvov, as seen in 1989. This decal doesn’t contain the image of an animal (it’s a depiction of a river and mountains) but is tied to a story involving a T-72B1 with three layers of ERA on top of each other, a deliberate attempt at disinformation from the Soviet side. We considered the story interesting enough to add it.[/p][p][/p][p]But that’s still not all. Three older skins await you as well:[/p]
 • [p]Tamanskaya Division for T-90[/p]
 • [p]Motherland for T-90A[/p]
 • [p]Nakidka for T-90MS[/p]
[p]And if you have them already? No problem, in that case you’ll receive 2000 bonus Battle Coins for each.[/p][p][/p][p]The Beasts of Steel event is launching soon. We hope you’ll enjoy it and, as always:[/p][p]See you on the battlefield![/p]

Offer: KF51 Panther, Panzer 87-140

[p]Commanders![/p][p]Today we’ve prepared the following items for you:[/p]
 • [p]KF51 Panther Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank[/p]
 • [p]Panzer 87-140 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank[/p]
[p]Between July 29, 2025 and August 5, 2025, the following items will be available:[/p][p][/p]
KF51 Panther
[p][/p][p]The KF51 Panther Main Battle Tank first appeared in 2022 as a demonstrator of Rheinmetall’s capabilities, mating a modified Leopard 2 hull with a brand-new turret armed not only with cutting edge weaponry, but also a missile launcher. The Panther is one of western next-gen MBT projects, much like the EMBT and the next-generation Abrams. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the KF51 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. The KF51 Panther is at its core a medium-range vehicle with reliable armor and solid firepower that, in addition to its 130mm gun and NERA armor, boasts a powerful missile launcher. This combination makes it one of the most powerful MBTs you can encounter in the game.[/p][p]The KF51 Panther Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Panzer 87-140
[p][/p][p]The Panzer 87-140 is an experimental version of Panzer 87 (Swiss Leopard 2A4), fitted with a RUAG 140mm smoothbore cannon and an armor kit called WE. It was developed in the 1980s and early 1990s to counter the next generation of Soviet MBTs, but with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the project was shelved, only to resurface around 2005-2006 but never passing the experimental stage. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Panzer 87-140 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. Much like other Leopard series MBTs, it’s a long-range fighter with an extremely powerful gun and the ability to fire with pinpoint accuracy. Even though its armor leaves much to be desired, at long range, this MBT has few equals and can be considered one of the best snipers of its class.[/p][p]The Panzer 87-140 Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We hope that you will enjoy this offer and, as usual:[/p][p]See you on the battlefield![/p]

Scavenger Run is here!

[p]Commanders!

Starting on July 25, you’ll be able to earn a major bonus to your next Gold purchase (even a truly massive one, like 80 percent) by participating in the Scavenger Run event.

In other words, in case you win such a bonus and buy 1.000 Gold, you’ll receive 1.800 Gold instead. And that can make one hell of a difference (please note, however, that the maximum amount of bonus Gold obtainable this way is 10.000 Gold).

Scavenger Run is, in its core, a very simple event. There are many ruined and abandoned objects across the world of Armored Warfare and your friendly neighborhood arms dealer ran across one of them.

You are now being hired to scout it out. On a small map, you choose one of three bases and then scout its three warehouses by clicking on them. Depending on your finds (determined randomly), you will receive a sizeable bonus to your next Gold purchase.

This event will be active for several days (the counter in Garage will always tell you how much time is left), so if you’re planning to stock on Gold for the next Battle Path or simply want to boost your progress right now, it’s the perfect opportunity to do so.

We hope that you’ll enjoy this new mechanic and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Historical Skins: T-90A Burlak “Gromozeka”

[p]Commanders![/p][p]With the recent conclusion of the Operation Liberty event, we were pleasantly surprised by its popularity and by how many players were actively participating in order to get their hands on its two epic skin rewards.[/p][p][/p][p]This is why, starting in early August, we’ll be launching yet another epic event that’ll run until mid-September, featuring two epic prizes – the Gromozeka skin for the T-90A Burlak and the vehicle itself. That’s right, you’ll be able to earn that sweet tank and the skin by simply playing every day. But let’s take a look at the skin itself.[/p][p][/p][p]Once again, the skin isn’t exactly historical in the strictest sense of the word, because the Burlak turret never entered service. A prototype or two were made and that was about it – you can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p]But what if the Burlak had entered service? That is the theme of the skin.[/p][p]As you can see on the screenshots, the vehicle is painted in Russian military colors and shows many signs of heavy use. It looks like it has seen a lot of combat in mercenary hands and even has some camouflage nets attached to it.[/p][p][/p][p]The name Gromozeka comes from an award-winning Soviet cartoon movie “The Mystery of the Third Planet” from 1981 (or an even earlier book from the 1960s the movie was based on), where it was the name of one of the characters, an alien archeologist. We’ve chosen the name as a tribute to the quality of journalism as it is tied to a certain story that is perhaps better left unmentioned.[/p][p]Still, regardless of the background, Gromozeka is a mercenary vehicle and as such is adorned with crude soldier sense of humor in mind.[/p][p][/p][p]The skin has one more interesting property – it unlocks the vehicle’s modules usually locked behind contract requirements. That way you’ll be able to play your Burlak at full power immediately after getting it.[/p][p]The skin and the vehicle of course aren’t the only prizes in the event. You’ll be able to earn Rough Riders Battle Coins, new beast-themed decals, older skins and new great-looking camouflages. We’ll tell you more about those in the near future but, for now:[/p][p]See you on the battlefield![/p]

Offer: Scandinavian Week

[p]Commanders![/p][p]Today we’ve prepared the following items for you:[/p]
 • [p]Stridsvagn 2000 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank[/p]
 • [p]CV90120 Ghost Tier 9 Premium Light Tank[/p]
 • [p]CV90 Mk.IV Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle[/p]
 • [p]CV90105 TML Tier 7 Premium Light Tank[/p]
 • [p]Swedish bundle with real-life Swedish camouflages[/p]
 • [p]Norwegian bundle with real-life Scandinavian camouflages and unit insignia[/p]
 • [p]Danish bundle with real-life Danish camouflage and base paint[/p]
 • [p]Pile of Gold Loot Crate[/p]
[p]Between July 24, 2025 and July 31, 2025, the following items will be available:[/p][p][/p]
Stridsvagn 2000
[p][/p][p]The Stridsvagn 2000 was to be Sweden’s next Main Battle Tank, designed to combat Soviet super-tanks such as the Black Eagle. For its time, the project was nothing short of revolutionary with extremely thick frontal armor and a powerful 140mm gun that could take on literally anything in its day. However, the Soviet threat dissipated with the collapse of the Soviet Union, which pushed Sweden to seek a cheaper solution to its tank problem, namely the Leopard 2 MBT. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Stridsvagn 2000 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank that represents the essence of practicality. Solid armor, decent mobility and excellent damage over time output make this tank one of the most versatile tools you can have in your arsenal, equally capable in PvP and PvE. Aside from its advanced NERA armor, the Strv 2000 features a coaxial 40mm autocannon. The key to success is switching between both weapon systems and maximizing your damage output while your NERA armor eliminated one enemy shell after another.[/p][p]The Stridsvagn 2000 MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
CV90120 Ghost
[p][/p][p]The CV90120 “Ghost” Light Tank was a Swedish demonstrator based on an earlier fire support model of the CV90120. As its name suggests, the vehicle is armed with 120mm smoothbore cannon but that’s the least interesting on its features. The Ghost is named after a special camouflage system called ADAPTIV that's capable of masking the bulky tank in the IR spectrum so well it disappears from enemy screens – like a ghost. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the CV90120 Ghost is a Tier 9 Premium Light Tank. Depending on your choices, it can be configured two ways – as a fast hit-and-run Light Tank using the combination of a Ready Rack and its excellent mobility, or as a stealthy sniper using the ADAPTIV system and the upgraded ammunition. While you won’t be as stealthy as dedicated Tank Destroyers or small AFVs, you’ll still be able to do a lot of damage from behind the safety of your lines.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
CV90 Mk.IV
[p][/p][p]The Swedish CV90 Mk.IV IFV is the most modern version of the old but constantly developed CV90 platform. Since its introduction in the early 1990s, the vehicle was upgraded so much that this 2018 model bears little resemblance to the three decades old original, featuring cutting edge electronics as well as a brand new turret. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the CV90 Mk.IV is a Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. It is a durable and reliable infantry carrier capable not only of dealing tremendous damage with its 50mm autocannon, but of launching powerful Spike missiles as well. In addition to that, it’s relatively well-protected and can also carry Mechanized Infantry. What’s there not to like?[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
CV90105 TML
[p][/p][p]The CV90105 TML from the 1990s was one of the first attempts to convert the CV90 chassis into a fire support vehicle by combining it with a French TML turret. The result was a fairly capable Light Tank with considerable firepower in the form of its 105mm GIAT gun that could successfully take out most MBTs of its time. Unfortunately, the vehicle didn’t manage to attract any customers and remained a prototype only. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the CV90105 TML is a Tier 7 Premium Light Tank. Depending on your choices, it can be configured two ways. You can opt for a more sustained firepower with the large 12-round clip – this way you need to stay behind your own team or hide in bushes, turning your Light Tank into something like a close support Tank Destroyer. Or, you can opt for the fun option of turning your CV90105 TML into a hit and run monster. Ambush an enemy, empty the magazine into his sides or rear and immediately retreat.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Swedish Bundle
[p][/p][p]Despite its neutrality, Sweden is one of the premiere arms manufacturers in the world and has a powerful standing army to boot. Much of its vehicle fleet is compatible with western tech and the country now operates the Leopard 2 MBT (under the name Stridsvagn 122) as well as several CV90 variants. This bundle includes several camouflages tied to Sweden as well as a special player title.[/p][p][/p][p]The bundle consists of:[/p]
 • [p]Scandinavian Summer camouflage (read more)[/p]
 • [p]Scandinavian Winter camouflage (read more)[/p]
 • [p]Swedish Export camouflage (read more)[/p]
 • [p]Swedish Urban camouflage (as seen on various CV90 prototypes)[/p]
 • [p]Swedish Flag decal[/p]
 • [p]Player title “Viking”[/p]
[p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Norwegian Bundle
[p][/p][p]Norway is a part of the NATO with its units regularly taking part in operations abroad. One of the elite units of the Norwegian military is the famous Telemark Battalion of Mechanized Infantry and this bundle includes two items tied to it as well as the Scandinavian camouflages used by Norway and a Norwegian base paint, as seen on a Telemark Leopard deployed to Estonia in 2017.[/p][p][/p][p]The bundle consists of:[/p]
 • [p]Scandinavian Summer camouflage (read more)[/p]
 • [p]Scandinavian Winter camouflage (read more)[/p]
 • [p]Scandinavian base paint (read more)[/p]

Aside from its simple but unique camouflage, this bundle contains a Danish player title, the Scandinavian base paint and a decal.[/p][p][/p][p]The bundle consists of:[/p]
