Offer: Lynx Skyranger

Commanders!

Today we’ve prepared the following items for you:
 • Lynx Skyranger Tier 10 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
 • Leopard 2 Revolution Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank
 • Leclerc T40 Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
 • Marder 2 Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
 • AMX 10 RCR Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer
 • Assault Loot Crate
Between December 14 and 21, 2023, the following items will be available:
Lynx Skyranger
This is a version of the cutting edge Lynx platform but instead of the standard IFV configuration, it utilizes the Skyranger HEL turret to create a short-range anti-aircraft vehicle that can also eliminate drone swarms with ease. This configuration was proposed for the recent Hungarian military upgrade program but never built in real life. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Lynx Skyranger is a Tier 10 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. It’s best used as a scout killer but it is capable of other roles as well. It features three rather unusual abilities, such as the programmable HE ammunition that explodes above targets, the Starstreak missiles that deal more damages over larger distances and ignore APS, and the High Energy Laser active ability. When activated, the laser blinds enemy targets, significantly reducing their spotting range. You can learn more about these abilities from our developer diary.

The Lynx Skyranger Tier 10 Premium AFV is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Leopard 2 Revolution
The Leopard 2 Revolution is a continuation of the older Evolution upgrade, intended to improve the performance of the older variants of the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank in order to make it excel even on the battlefields of the 21st century. The improvements include a comprehensive armor upgrade, ROSY soft-kill APS and smoke grenade launchers as well as an entire suite of cutting edge electronics. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Leopard 2 Revolution is a Tier 8 Main Battle Tank. It is not only well-armored, it also features an extremely accurate 120mm gun with advanced ammunition, allowing it to destroy its opponents at very long ranges, rivaling those of Tank Destroyers. The German tanks in general perform best at longer ranges and the Revolution is no exception.
Leclerc T40
Sometimes called the French Terminator, this vehicle was designed on the Leclerc MBT chassis with one purpose in mind – to accompany tanks and fight off infantry attacks the same way as the Russian BMPT series does. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Leclerc T40 is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. It offers you a combination of a durable hull, rapid-fire 40mm automatic cannon and, most importantly, the Javelin missile system. Simply right-click the target, wait until it becomes locket and fire the Javelin ATGM – it will home itself on the target, attacking its weak roof armor. Thanks to this ability, the Leclerc T40 is one of the most destructive vehicles in the game.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Marder 2
The Marder 2 was an experimental German IFV, developed in the late 1980s to replace the aging Marder IFV. It featured more armor, a new turret and a brand-new Rheinmetall dual-caliber autocannon that could fire both 35mm and 50mm rounds. Despite its qualities, the vehicle was never accepted in service due to its high cost and because it was no longer needed because of the fall of the Soviet Union. A single surviving prototype can be found today in the Koblenz military collection. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Marder 2 is a Tier 8 Armored Fighting Vehicle. With its 44 tons, it’s one of the heaviest and toughest AFVs around. Unlike many other AFVs of its Tier, it is not armed with guided missiles, relying instead on its extremely powerful 50mm autocannon. This vehicle can also deploy Mechanized Infantry.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
AMX-10 RCR
The AMX 10 RCR is the updated variant of the French AMX 10 RC fire support vehicle by GIAT, originally developed in the early 1980s. This light and nimble wheeled 6x6 AFV was armed with a 105mm gun, allowing it to knock out even armored targets at considerable distances. Over 200 of these aging vehicles were upgraded by Nexter in 2010 with improved armor and electronics, enabling them to fulfill modern battlefield tasks until their eventual replacement by the Jaguar. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!

In Armored Warfare, the AMX 10 RCR is a Tier 8 wheeled Premium Tank Destroyer. It’s incredibly agile with its wheeled chassis allowing it to outrun pretty much any enemy on the battlefield save for the fastest AFVs. Its gun accuracy is also top notch, making this vehicle perfect for sniper-style gameplay as its thin armor can’t protect it against enemy shells at close distances. This vehicle also comes with the Hydraulic Suspension active ability.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Assault Loot Crate
This week, we’d like to offer you a new type of Loot Crate – the Assault Loot Crate, containing many of your favorite Premium MBTs as well as Commanders, Gold and progress boosters!

The mechanics are very simple. This crate allows you to win one of the vehicles listed in its description (or its value in Gold if you have it already). For a full list, please visit the Market.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.

We hope that you will enjoy this offer and, as usual:

See you on the battlefield!

Server Maintenance

Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.

In Development: KF41 Lynx Prototype

Commanders!

This year, we have one more vehicle to show you – we’ve mentioned it briefly in the recent stream but now it’s here officially – the German Lynx Prototype.

Of course, we do have another Lynx in the game already – the Skyranger version. However, this vehicle is different enough for us to introduce it as a separate one.

The history you might be already familiar with from the Skyranger article but here’s a quick summation. The Lynx (by Rheinmetall) is one of the most modern infantry fighting vehicles currently offered and yet it’s not exactly special in any way. The idea behind it was to offer a more affordable alternative to various over-engineered modern IFVs such as the Puma. Not necessarily worse, just less complex and with significantly lower lifetime costs.

The first version of this private venture appeared at the Eurosatory 2016 expo in France – this was the lighter KF31 version, as can be divined from the name – KF stands for Kettenfahrzeug (tracked vehicle) and the number represents its weight category (in this case, some 35-38 tons). Two years later, in 2018, another model was unveiled – the significantly heavier KF41 (up to 50 tons) with correspondingly improved protection levels.

The vehicle itself was designed by Rheinmetall engineers to be as modular and easy to maintain as possible while offering unparalleled configurability. Its hull is made of steel. The basic protection level is classified but it is estimated to reach STANAG 4569 Level 3 (protection against 7.62mm armor-piercing bullets) – this armor setup bears the name MCO (Mounted Combat Operation).

That’s not much, but the hull can be easily upgraded with composite panels, likely increasing the protection to Level 5-6 (protection versus 30mm autocannons). But that’s only the beginning – the vehicle is highly resistant to mine and IED explosions and the armor is specifically designed to withstand ATGM hits. This upgraded armor kit setup is called CUE (Complex Urban Environment) – it’s worth noting that these terms were invented by Rheinmetall, this isn’t an official military term.

The protection also includes:
 • Smoke grenade dischargers (the system depends on the turret)
 • NBC protection system (similar to that of the Puma)

And can be enhanced by an active protection system such as the German AMAP-ADS hard-kill APS or a combination of the ROSY smoke discharger and a laser warning receiver that acts like a soft-kill APS.

The Lynx is (in any configuration) powered by an 18 liter 6-cylinder (I6) Liebherr 976 series turbocharged diesel engine producing from 755hp to theoretically 1475hp, depending on the vehicle’s version and tuning (the official numbers are 755hp for KF31 and 1410hp for KF41). It is paired with an automatic transmission (Renk HSWL 256 or Allison X300 series), allowing the Lynx to go as fast as 70 km/h (the maximum off-road speed being roughly 42 km/h).

And, finally, there’s the armament. The older KF31 was fitted with a Rheinmetall Lance turret featuring a 30mm or a 35mm autocannon. For the KF41, the turret was upgraded to Lance 2.0. Both had a crew of two, bringing the total crew to three (gunner, commander and driver) with six (KF31) or eight (KF41) more men carried in the back.

Despite it only being four years since its introduction (six if you count the KF31), it can already be said that the Lynx KF41 is a successful design because despite not being formally adopted by any military prior to its export offer, Rheinmetall managed to garner a lot of interest and, more importantly, secure a major contract. 218 KF41 Lynx IFVs were ordered by Hungary in 2020 to replace its obsolete fleet of BMPs as a part of the Zrinyi 2026 re-armament program.

The current model is built around the 2018 prototype, hence its name. The production turret and hull are both different and may appear in Armored Warfare further down the line.

Now, the big question is – we said it was bland in the past, why would we introduce it in addition to the Skyranger? The answer is simple – because we found a way to make it not bland. Here’s how.

In Armored Warfare, the Lynx Prototype will be a Tier 10 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle.

If you are familiar with the Skyranger, you are already familiar with the basics of the Lynx Prototype AFV. You have a big hull covered with NERA and decent mobility. It’s a durable vehicle despite the fact the Lance 2.0 turret is actually manned – it’ll still offer decent enough protection to withstand basic autocannon fire.

The really interesting parts are the guns. The vehicle will offer two of those, both by Rheinmetall:
 • 30mm Mk.30/2 autocannon
 • 35mm Wotan 35 autocannon

Both guns will offer two modes of fire – high (with low accuracy) and low (with high accuracy), allowing you to configure the weapons just the way you like them. In addition to the standard advanced APFSDS rounds, the vehicle will have programmable (airburst) HE rounds as its disposal. On the downside, this vehicle will not have an ATGM launcher and will rely on its guns only.

But that’s still not all. The KF41 Lynx Prototype comes with a new infantry type called Assault Squad.

This is a variant of the standard AT squad. It is still armed with the AT4 rocket launchers the AT squad is but its rockets have thermobaric warheads instead of HEAT (an approximation of the AT4CS HE airburst round). This makes them very effective against enemy infantry and lightly armored targets.

The Lynx Prototype will be a powerful IFV especially viable in the recently released Rate of Decay mission where it’ll be able to devastate that pesky hostile infantry with easy. It’ll also come in handy in other Special Operations when dealing with troops stationed on rooftops.

We hope that you’ll enjoy it and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Offer: T-15 Kinzhal

Commanders!

Today, we’ve prepared the following items for you:
 • T-15 Kinzhal Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
 • Namer Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
 • Abrams AGDS Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
 • Hunter Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
 • BMPT Mod.2017 Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer
 • Iron Crate
Between December 7 and 14, 2023, the following items will be available:
T-15 Kinzhal
This vehicle is a version of the T-15 heavy IFV (built on the Armata platform) but instead of the Bumerang turret featuring 30mm autocannon, it’s armed with another combat module called Kinzhal. The Kinzhal module’s main armament is long 57mm automatic cannon that can devastate even the heaviest IFVs it could meet on the battlefield. A prototype appeared in 2019 but the concept was not approved for mass production. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the T-15 Kinzhal is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. Unlike the original progression version of the T-15, it’s a vehicle that relies heavily on its autocannon. The 57mm gun is immensely powerful and can fire in three round bursts with one of the highest damage per minute outputs in the game. In addition to its outstanding firepower, the Kinzhal is heavily armored and despite its average mobility, it’s one of the most durable and versatile vehicles in Armored Warfare.

This vehicle is available via Loot Crates, which drop T-15 Kinzhal parts. Collect 100 T-15 Kinzhal parts from these Loot Crates to assemble the whole vehicle.
Namer
The Namer IFV is an Israeli heavy fighting vehicle version of the Namer platform developed in the early 2000s from the Merkava Main Battle Tank. Israel is a small country and cannot affect high infantry losses, which is why the Namer features extremely high levels of protection. The IFV variant is fitted with a Rafael turret, featuring 30mm autocannon and a Spike missile launcher. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Namer is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. As its history suggests, it is a superheavy TD with its protection levels being amongst the highest of its class. It is slow and ponderous but its thick front can deflect even advanced shells while maintaining adequate firepower thanks to its autocannon and ATGM combination. Its MBT-like characteristics make this vehicle quite forgiving for new players, but, as they say, a jack-of-all-trades is a master of none.

The Namer Tier 10 Premium TD is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Abrams AGDS
The Abrams AGDS (Armored Ground Defense System) was a vehicle concept and proposal, drafted in July 1996 by Dr. Asher H. Sharoni (a former colonel in the Israeli Defense Forces) and Lawrence D. Bacon from a Californian company called Western Design Howden. It was supposed to be an air-defense vehicle, protecting the Abrams formations against flying threats, although its weaponry can be deployed against ground targets as well. The United States were, at the time, sorely lacking a vehicle comparable to the Russian Shilka and one of the ideas was to use the Abrams chassis paired with a new turret to produce an armored AA gun that would be able to keep up with the American tank units. This plan was never realized and the vehicle stayed only on paper but you can play the Abrams AGDS in Armored Warfare and experience what it would have been like, had it ever been deployed.

In Armored Warfare, the Abrams AGDS is a very unique Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. What makes it so special are its two large guided missile launchers capable of firing an incredibly devastating volley within seconds. The AGDS can devastate practically every opponent on the battlefield with a single salvo, making it one of the best and most effective mid-to-long range vehicles in the game. At close ranges, it can rely on excellent frontal turret protection and its two 35mm autocannons to keep enemies at bay until the missile launcher reloads to unleash another deadly swarm of missiles. The Abrams AGDS is one of the most feared vehicles in Armored Warfare!
Hunter AFV
Another alternative name for this vehicle is NGAFV (or Next Gen AFV), since it belongs to a whole program to replace the obsolete M113 APC in Singaporean service and to operate alongside its predecessor, another indigenous Singaporean IFV called Bionix. Hunter is the name of the production model of this program. The Hunter AFV is the pinnacle of bleeding edge of technology. In this sense, it can be compared to the AS21 Redback and both vehicles share several characteristics, not the least of which being relatively large size. This bulky IFV offers considerable levels of protection and firepower. It is expected to serve in the Singaporean army in large numbers in the near future with its mass-production having recently begun. You can read more about its history in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Hunter AFV is a Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. As its description above suggests, it is a rather standard-sized IFV with good levels of protection and excellent firepower (consisting of a 30mm autocannon and a Spike ATGM launcher). It also features a recently introduced type of armor, NERA. Simply put, NERA is an ablative armor kit that deteriorates whenever it gets hit. In other words, the vehicle starts with excellent protection levels but it will lose some with damage taken as the battle progresses. Apart from that, the vehicle is adequately mobile and quite universal. It can, of course, also deploy Mechanized Infantry.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
BMPT Mod.2017
The BMPT Mod.2017 is one specific version of the BMPT Terminator that was deployed in 2017 in Syria for extended testing along with some other Russian prototype equipment, including the SU-57 jet fighter and the Uran-9 combat robot. It consists of a modified T-90 hull with a modernized turret from BMPT-72 installed on it. Another major difference was the presence of a new type of Explosive Reactive Armor that was made of soft fabric bags with explosive filler. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the BMPT Mod. 2017 is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer and arguably the most powerful variant of the BMPT family. Like the others, it combines a tank hull with an unmanned turret, armed with two 30mm cannons as well as four missile launchers. Its thick armor and advanced ATGMs quickly made it one of the most feared vehicles of Tier 8 battlefields, a position it retains to this day.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
