Patch Notes - Update 20.8.2021 (EA Build 560)



Starbase is going down for maintenance and an update in ~50 minutes. The expected downtime is 1 hour.

Patch notes:

[h2]Known Issues[/h2]

  • Magazines may disappear if another weapon or tool is swapped in during reload
    - Magazines that have disappeared like this may still be sold in the sell panel
  • Magazines may get stuck if put to a weapon or tool, during reload magazine is taken off, and afterwards same magazine is put to another weapon or tool
  • Picking up object collections that attach together without bolts (e.g. coolant cells with a coolant rack) causes them to disappear
    - These can still be sold in sell panels

  • Blocked custom items from backpacks
  • Fixed an issue when trying to pick up ore nuggets up manually
  • Fixed not being able to pick up multipart items such as buttons

[h2]Magazines[/h2]
  • NOTE: These affected for example paint tool and the issues reported about it;
  • Fixed magazines getting stuck after re-equipping them too fast
  • Fixed magazines getting stuck when equipping them during tool or weapon equip animation
  • Fixed magazines getting stuck when equipping them from station storage

  • Added durability tool as a reward from repair job tutorial

  • Material shop sell confirmation window may warn about irrelevant contents
    - For example it may warn about selling equipment when selling ores

  • Added power consumption via resource bridge to Tripod Autocannon
  • Reduced Tripod Autocannon Projectile Energy from 310 to 217
  • Tripod Autocannon electricity consumption set to 270 electricity per shot

Starbase EA Update 13.8.2021 (EA Build 550)



[h2]Major Updates[/h2]
  • Tripod and Tripod Autocannon add 20 tons of weight to the ship they are attached to
  • In total complete tripod weights 40 tons
  • Very small ships have a risk of suffering catastrophic structural damage, if too many Tripods are added to them
  • This is ship specific and results may vary based on structural integrity of the ship
  • Inventory crafting with ore crates
  • Free weld Easy Build Mode at stations (single parts can be attached to stations). Use C to toggle between modes
  • New rotate logic in Easy Build Mode: Shift+Mousewheel rotates the piece in hand around its horizontal axis. This replaces the old X/Y/Z rotate logic
  • New single icon crafting menus

[h2]Known Issues[/h2]
  • Starting crafting at the same time from same ore crates with other player may cause ores to be lost
  • When equipping weapon or tool magazines straight from station storage or inventory they may get stuck in the magazine slot
    - To fix a stuck magazine, try double clicking it or sell it through sell panel and this will free up the magazine slot for use again
  • Separating any part with thrusters in it from a ship in Easy Build Mode will permanently break the ship and make it unusable

Starbase Update 10.8.2021 (Early Access Build 545)



Starbase will go down for maintenance in approximately ~30 minutes and the estimated downtime is one hour. We are rolling out the first major update since the Early Access launch, patch notes below :)

Please note the build number is 545 and not 544 like in the picture due to a last-minute fix to the build.

  • Premade ships may still encounter issues with Easy Build Mode
    - We advise to avoid using Easy Build Mode with premade ships
  • If player relogs while working in Easy Build Mode their ship may split in two; one containing the Easy Build Mode modifications, the other their original ship
  • Resource containers are emptied after ship reloads or saves in Easy Build Mode
  • The setting "Host Owned Ships" is not on by default when it should be
    - The setting can be found in Settings -> Gameplay -> Ships & Safe Zones -> Host Owned Ships

[h2]Inventory[/h2]

  • Added Delete option to item slot context menu
  • Fixed ores getting lost from inventory when stacking ores in a certain way
  • Ores that were lost to this bug are possible to be recovered, see instructions below:
    - Upon game start and entering universe, two random lost ores are placed into the player backpack's two ore slots, so make sure they are vacant
    - The ores can then be safely removed from the slots and put into storage, restarting the game again will allow the player to recover more ore by repeating the process, until all ore is restored
    - You can check from the ore sell panel (panels at the either side of the normal item sell panel at marketplace) if you still have unrecovered ores, though ore lost to possible other bugs are not confirmed to be restored this way
    - If the ore does not appear, selling other bugged items from the normal item sell panel may make the ores start appearing

Starbase will go down for maintenance in ~1h 40min and is expected to stay in maintenance for one hour when we install the latest patch.
