This change gives players higher agency and more information to make better strategic decisions, particularly against surprise-factor masterminds like Stash, Scrapper, Chaos, and Redraw. There will still be plenty of surprises, mind games, and potential for outplays, but we're changing the strategic decision from an "unknown unknown" to a "known unknown."[/p][p]For example, consider Stash, one of the most popular and fun masterminds. Stashing on the right wave can be game-winning and feels amazing, but playing against Stash can feel low agency because you not only don't know when they will Stash, you don't even know if they are playing Stash in the first place. There are too many layers of uncertainty. Team Sign-up Instructions
  • [p]Sign-ups are open from NOW until September 20 5pm CEST.

  • [p]To sign up, find a teammate and form a party. After you're both in the party, have one player type "/signup \[team name]" (e.g. /signup Snail Kings) in chat. You should see a confirmation message that your sign-up went through.[/p]
  • [p]View the team list to see your sign-up, and division once they are assigned after the check-ins are concluded. [/p]
  • [p] Both players must join the Legion TD 2 Official Tournament Discord. Make sure to set your server nickname to match your in-game name.[/p]
Solo Sign-ups
  • [p]You may sign-up as a solo with a suggested team name using the "/signup \[team name]" command. Solo teams will be added to the Public Teams list, then be formed into teams on the day of the tournament. Solo teams will be randomly assigned a team name from either of its members.

  • [p]If you sign up as a solo, but then you find a teammate, you can re-sign up as a team any time before check-ins start. Just use the /signup command again with the new teammate. The tournament organizer will void your old solo signup after they process your new team signup.

  • [p]After check-ins are over, all checked-in solo players will be randomly formed into teams by the tournament organizer. You cannot request a specific teammate at this point; if you want to play with a specific person, you should have signed up as a team instead.[/p]
[p]It is still strongly recommended to sign-up as a team to guarantee your spot in the tournament and to give you time to practice with your teammate beforehand.

It’s intended that some games end before wave 10, though early game all-ins are a bit too strong, which incentivizes safe play.

  • [p]Nerfing wave 6 against the king[/p]
  • [p]Nerfing full eco strategies[/p]

[p]How to counter early game all-ins: [/p]
  • [p]Don't push workers when your opponents are saving mythium[/p]
  • [p]If your teammate is being saved on, build extra defenses to cover for them[/p]
  • [p]Apply pressure so your opponents can’t easily save mythium for multiple waves[/p]
  • [p]\[Optional] Undercut your opponents by sending aggressively one wave before you expect them to send[/p]
  • [p]Upgrade the king on the wave you expect them to send. It's more important to do this than to send an extra Snail for +6 gold[/p]
