The Crayonberry Update
This has been a long time coming, alright! No, it's not the World 4 update just yet (still hard at work on content for that, though!). No, this update is to repair one of the biggest flaws in the game: dull collectibles.
I mean, what even are Scribbles anyway? Raw creative energy? BORING! Scribbles have been replaced with a delicious fruit found all over the sketchbook which are often traded as currency for awesome costumes. The delicious 64 flavors of Crayonberries can now be found in place of Scribbles.
Other than that, this update features major improvements to the user interface and menus and a TON of various bug fixes. Plus, some changes have been made to Bob's physics to make him faster and more BOUNCY!
This is also the first update to run in our engine's new runtime: Construct 3! What does that mean for you? Well, hopefully more stability, better load times, smoother performance, and not a ton of bugs introduced from moving into new standards. That's right, folks. Super Sketch Bob has been in development so long that we outlived an entire game engine runtime. Good thing we didn't design this in Flash as originally planned, right?
At any rate, work is still chugging along all by my lonesome here at The Cortex (the super secret headquarters of Wayward Thoughts Interactive located somewhere either in an archipelago in the South Pacific or somewhere in the San Fernando Valley). But Bob's big adventure is coming along nicely AND I've been brainstorming what's next down the pipe. Good things are happening, folks. Until then, I appreciate your patience.
