DoN's Peacock Jumping Spider DLC Released!
Relive your DoN's Jumping Spider experiences - now as a tiny Peacock Jumping Spider!
[p][/p][p][/p][p]Grow from a tiny egg to mature adult in Lifecycles mode, saunter through the glades in Survival mode, or simply hop onto Sandbox mode and create custom game scenarios of your own![/p][p][/p]
Purchase the Peacock Jumping Spider DLC now!
[p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Support DoN's Further Development by purchasing this DLC!
[p]Your purchase will directly support the game's ongoing development of the game along multiple fronts.[/p][p][/p][p]Multiplayer, Android cross-play, New Worlds with Big Animals and more are already in the works, hence the large size of this update - which is really due to the big features mentioned above. This new foundation is being gradually rolled out into the current game - though hidden from players for now.[/p][p][/p][p]However - to sustain this new development and to make it all the way to the finish line, the game needs the financial impetus right now. Dear players, your support through purchase of this DLC will be of the utmost help, not only to the game, but also to myself as DoN's sole developer.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Revisiting "The Silken Egg Sac", this time as a much smaller Jumping Spider![/p][p][/p]
Peacock Jumping Spider
[p]Widely adored for its colorful looks and courtship dancing, the Peacock Jumping Spider is the most colorful addition yet to Nature & Life - Drunk On Nectar's species roster![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Play as the Peacock Jumping Spider in any of the Lifecycles, Survival and Face Off modes. "Lifecycles" is currently based entirely on existing the Jumping Spider Lifecycle, however unique scenarios specifically for the Peacock Jumping Spider are also planned for the future. This update makes the creature available to play immediately for current players in a familiar setting.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Invoke the awesome powers of "Nature Sandbox" mode to create your own game scenarios - both humorous and enthralling! You can now combine this tiny arachnid together with other species to create new and interesting emergent gameplay combinations. Try it out for yourself![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Finally, "Free Exploration" as a Peacock Jumping Spider allows you to explore a random world as a tiny spider OR to jump (no pun intended) straight into Mating & Reproduction. Ideal for players looking to check out the Courtship visuals without playing the entire Lifecycle (which takes around 60-90 minutes).[/p][p][/p]
Support DoN via this DLC, to see more updates!
[p]Dear players, please do support the game's further growth by purchasing this DLC :)[/p][p][/p][p]This will pave the way for various core updates such as Multiplayer, Android crossplay, as well as the dive into larger animals - all of which currently are currently under development, yet need a more reliable and ongoing source of funding for the game, to make it through on time.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your support through all these years![/p][p]

2025 Roadmap: What's next for the game
New Content: Subspecies, Plants, Environment
This update will add more varieties of each major species (Butterfly, Mantis, Jumping Spider, etc) for giving players greater variety, color and interesting experiences.

Alongside fauna, more plants and trees will also be added, giving players a more interesting and beautiful environment in which to play as their favorite creatures!

Finally, the environment itself will be improved - made both larger and more detailed. There is a very exciting update around the corner on this front, so stay tuned for more on this :)
Sandbox v2: "Create & Design - Nature"
A lot of players have expressed interest specifically in the Sandbox mode and its potential.

A vastly improved Sandbox mode, entitled "Create & Design - Nature" has been planned for a while now.

This will provide players with complete guidance on how to unleash the full power of the Sandbox mode, emphasizing custom map creation, detailed workflows for handcrafting custom designs, direct control for players over Lighting and Time of Day (eg: choosing a fixed Season and time of day for your Sandbox scenarios instead of having to speed up the time just to reach a new season).

"Create & Design - Nature" will also feature a Scenario Editor - enabling players to share their custom creations on Steam Workshop!
Making the grand journey from Bug Life to Birds, Reptiles & Mammals
The game's nature engine has been designed from ground up to support multiple perspectives and scales.
Thus, not only the micro-scale undergrowth of First Instar Leafhoppers (tinier than a pinhead!), but also of tree canopies, of meadows, of landscapes and ultimately entire biomes.

While invertebrates have necessarily been the game's sole focus as the foundation of all ecosystems, yet the plan has always been to work upwards towards Birds, Reptiles and Larger mammals.

For the game to reach a larger player base and thus benefit existing players like yourself, I feel that this grand leap needs to be taken soon, as demonstrating the full power of the game's nature engine will be a great way to increase awareness about the game and thus bring in a new generation of players like yourself :)
Mutliplayer (Exploration, Survival, Face Off)
Multiplayer is indeed another key milestone for the game's roadmap.

Sharing your nature experiences together in a single game world will be truly game changing indeed!

While the first version will necessarily focus on the simpler game modes like "Free Exploration", "Survival" or "Face Off" (this will make it practical to deliver a good experience for players on time), there is pretty much unlimited potential for fun in this space!
Thank you!
Thanks as always to the game's wonderful players for your support and inspiration!

Everything that can be done to bring a Beautiful, Fascinating and Inspiring Nature World to the game's wonderful players is being done.

With your love and support the game will indeed continue to grow and improve with each passing day!

Thank you!

With Love,
- Venugopalan Sreedharan
