1:42 Scale: Yamato
Georgios Detsis is fond of history and warships—he enjoys spending his spare time making ship models, including ultra-realistic ones. In 2019, he was invited to the Wargaming Studio in St. Petersburg to meet fellow warship enthusiasts among our colleagues and to build a model of Yamato for the interior design of our office. The battleship model was to be built with the maximum level of detail (at a scale of 1:200).Japanese battleship Yamato is one of the most famous ships in history. Even those who are unfamiliar with the details of her wartime career have at least heard about this ship; her monumental appearance and the fact that she was equipped with the largest naval guns in history are features that have afforded her a lot of well-deserved attention. In the new episode of the 1:42 Scale series, Georgios is going to tell us about the difficulties he faced in crafting the model of this elegant ship.
