Fubuki Shirakami and Marine Houshou Take Command

World of Warships and Hololive have teamed up to bring the first virtual YouTubers (VTubers) into World of Warships as Commanders. Two well-known VTubers—Fubuki Shirakami and Marine Houshou—are joining the Commander roster! Both have been created to sound as if the VTubers are streaming and playing World of Warships live with you, our players!

Fubuki Shirakami and Marine Houshou are very popular Japanese VTubers, with over 650,00 and 400,000 followers on their YouTube channels, respectively. Fubuki Shirakami’s character is quite shy, and is recognizable by her white hair and trademark fluffy Kemomimi ears; Marine Houshou’s character adores treasure and dreams of being a pirate.

“WoWS is an easy game to get into, but difficult to master, so when I play, I feel a real sense of achievement and it encourages me to keep practicing,” says Fubuki Shirakami. “I can’t wait to support other players as a Commander!”

“Finally, I’m chief in command of my own ship! Wargaming has managed to nail my voice in the game—it’s so true to life when my ship is being attacked. I’m sure that players will have a great laugh when they play. I can’t wait to set sail together!” adds Marine Houshou.
