Twilight Hunt

As many as nine special ships await you in our new temporary battle type which pits sixteen players against each other! Welcome to the Twilight Hunt—a revamped version of the Big Hunt event from Update 0.10.2.

Ships will sail out for the "Hunt" in the third week of Update 0.10.9, and you can expect to continue hunting until Update 0.10.10 goes live.

Take the helms of fantastic future warships, clash against other players, and confront the ships of the Twilight Fleet!

Apart from IX Valkyrie, IX Gale, IX Heracles, X Hector, X Avenger, and X Whirlwindships that you're probably already familiar with—you will also be able to join the battle on monster ships X Fangblade, X Thornridge, and X Lobster-Eyed.

You and 15 other players will be matched against each other on the updated Polygon map, where you won't just be fighting against each other, but also against AI-controlled ships of the Twilight Fleet. Your primary battle objective is to grab as many Battle Points as you can and exit the Polygon via the Portal located at the center of the map. Be cautious, though, as the Portal opens up only some time after the start of each battle.

The Twilight Hunt ends when all surviving players exit through the Portal or when the battle time expires. For this reason, it is better not to stay in the Polygon for too long—the Portal will not stay open forever and, as the battle nears its end, AI-controlled ships of the Twilight Fleet will start hunting down any remaining players, headed by the formidable boss ship Rasputin. For destroying ships of the Twilight Fleet and other players, you will get a temporary resource—Battle Points—that you can use to reinforce your ship directly in battle.

You can team up with other players during the battle. The Twilight Hunt's difficulty intensifies each week—the time it takes for the Portal to open, as well as the HP pools and damage dealt by the Twilight Fleet ships (as well as the amount of Battle Points earned by destroying them!), increase. The maximum team size also increases—from three players in the first week to six players in the third week.

A Few Tips From Us...
• Destroy the first Twilight Fleet ships you encounter, then upgrade your ship. This will give you an advantage in the following engagements.
 • Try to assemble a team of your own or join one with other players. Fighting side by side with your allies will increase your chances of escaping via the Portal. You will always start out alone, even if you enter battle as part of a Division. You will need to locate your Division mates on the map before you can team up with them.
 • You can place markers on the Minimap when playing as part of a team. These markers will be visible to all team members and will help you coordinate your actions. To place a marker, press Сtrl + on the Minimap.
 • As you get closer to the center of the map, the ships of the Twilight Fleet will become increasingly stronger, but you will also earn more Battle Points for destroying them.
 • Keep an eye on Rasputin's arrival timer. This will help you ensure that you are in the right place and combat-ready when she finally arrives. Defeating the boss ship will bring you and your team the most Battle Points.
 • Do not be afraid to experiment—you need to act unpredictably in the Polygon.

Battle Points
You can earn Battle Points by destroying Twilight Fleet ships and the ships of other players. Rasputin, the boss ship, will bring you the most Battle Points. Be careful though—vanquishing Rasputin and her escorts will not be easy, even with a team.

Having accrued enough Battle Points, you can reinforce your ship directly in battle. To select one of the two improvements, use Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, or Ctrl + on the preferred improvement. You do not spend any Battle Points in the process of improving your ship, so make sure to reinforce your ship as soon as you are able!

Successfully exiting via the Portal will double your earned Battle Points. If you fail to escape the Polygon, you will still get any Battle Points you accrued in battle. In total, you can earn up to 10,000 Battle Points in a single battle. These will be counted toward your combat mission progress.
