[h2]History[/h2]
Constellation was laid down as a Lexington-class battlecruiser in the early 1920s. The project was quite ambiguous—on one hand she had high speed and powerful armament, on the other hand, her armor was mediocre at best for this ship type. But Constellation could well have become one of the largest ships of her time. A total of six ships of this class were planned for construction. However, the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922 forced the Americans to revise their plans.

The lead ship of the series and Saratoga were converted into aircraft carriers, while the construction of the remaining battlecruisers was canceled. While Lexington inherited cumbersome 203 mm artillery from the battlecruiser project, VIII Constellation has been recreated in World of Warships as a battleship with torpedo launchers and the Surveillance Radar consumable, both of which are completely unconventional features for this ship type.

Main battery: eight 406 mm/45 Mk.5 guns in four turrets.



Dual-purpose battery: twenty 127 mm/38 Mk.12 guns in Mk.32 mounts.



Anti-aircraft artillery: thirty-two 20 mm Oerlikon autocannons in Mk.24 mounts and 30 more in Mk.4 mounts; forty-eight 40 mm Bofors anti-aircraft cannons in Mk.2 mounts.

VII Yukon is one of the draft projects of the King George V-class ships. You can also find the ship in the Armory and Premium Shop as part of an Admiral Pack. She comes bundled with a commemorative flag, the Maple Leaf permanent camouflage, and other desirable items.

VII Yukon is a battleship armed with nine accurate 381 mm guns. Her HE shells have good chances of setting targets on fire. The ship is not very fast and doesn't have a long firing range, but her low detectability and the Specialized Repair Teams consumable more than make up for this.

Tone[/h2]
The Armory and Premium Shop are offering a new hybrid ship, VIII Tone, which took part in numerous battles in the Pacific Ocean theater during World War II.

The unique cruiser, which carries a squadron of torpedo bombers, is also available as part of a traditional Admiral Pack. She comes bundled with a commemorative flag, Port slot, 10 skill-point Commander, large supply of Credits and signals, and a pack of Full Moon camos.
The bundles will be available for purchase until: Fri. 02 Jul. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)

VIII Tone is a heavy cruiser armed with eight accurate 203 mm guns that are housed in four turrets situated on the ship's bow. She participated in key battles of World War II—the Battle of Midway and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. This fast ship has decent armor and good concealment. Tone also carries a squadron of four torpedo bombers with low detectability. Each bomber is armed with two torpedoes.
