On the days of any update releases, Clan Battles are held only during the prime time of your server.
Season Features
With aircraft carriers now being able to take part in Clan Battles, we've introduced a new restriction for the current Season: a Clan must make a choice between entering battle with either one aircraft carrier or one battleship.

We realize that the presence of carriers has the potential to greatly affect the gameplay of Clan Battles. We'll watch the results of the Season closely and make decisions about the further development of this battle type based on our observations.

Please note: during this Season, unlike the previous ones, there won't be a discount for resetting Commander skills. Resetting Commander skills at the beginning of Clan Battles was previously required due to carriers being disallowed. In that situation, Commander skills had to be adjusted accordingly.
Rewards
Clans with Ranks 1–50 in the Global Rating will receive between 5,000 and 25,000 Steel.

Clans that don't enter the Top 50 will receive amounts of Steel and Coal in their Treasury that correspond to their League and Group.

1:42 Scale: Yamato

Georgios Detsis is fond of history and warships—he enjoys spending his spare time making ship models, including ultra-realistic ones. In 2019, he was invited to the Wargaming Studio in St. Petersburg to meet fellow warship enthusiasts among our colleagues and to build a model of Yamato for the interior design of our office. The battleship model was to be built with the maximum level of detail (at a scale of 1:200).

Japanese battleship Yamato is one of the most famous ships in history. Even those who are unfamiliar with the details of her wartime career have at least heard about this ship; her monumental appearance and the fact that she was equipped with the largest naval guns in history are features that have afforded her a lot of well-deserved attention. In the new episode of the 1:42 Scale series, Georgios is going to tell us about the difficulties he faced in crafting the model of this elegant ship.

Campaigns in World of Warships

One of the highlights of the European Arc is a new temporary Campaign called "Strong-Willed." At this time, we thought it might be handy to give you a rundown of World of Warships Campaigns, what Campaigns are available in the game, and why they are worth your time.
To take up a Campaign, go to the "Campaigns" tab in the Port, and click on an available mission. Within that mission you can select the tasks that best suit your ship's type.

Permanent Campaigns are divided into standard ones (e.g. "Science of Victory" and "Honorable Service") and historical ones. Historical Campaigns are dedicated to famous naval battles or the biographies of distinguished naval commanders. For example, if you want to follow the path of Admiral William Halsey—one of the key figures of the U.S. Navy during World War II—embark on the "Hit hard! Hit fast! Hit often!" Campaign. If you’re interested in how the career of an Admiral of the Imperial Japanese Navy developed after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the "Yamamoto Isoroku" Campaign would be your first choice.

By completing standard tasks, you get rewards and earn the Stars that are required to unlock the final task. For accomplishing the final task, you get a unique reward.
If one particular task becomes your favorite, or if other tasks seem too difficult, just keep on completing the same task. Keep in mind though, that you’ll earn Stars each time you complete the task, but you'll be issued the reward for that task only once.

With Premium Account, you can undertake three tasks at a time; without Premium Account, you can complete only two tasks simultaneously. Besides this, if you haven't completed a task and canceled it for some reason, then you'll have to start it from scratch next time you select the task.
The "Strong-Willed" Temporary Campaign
The Campaign is split into five missions, with the first one already available and the following ones opening with each passing week.
Main reward: a unique historical European Commander—Jerzy Świrski—with 10 skill points and a specialization for I Gryf.

The Campaign will remain available for 6 months after the release of Update 0.9.3.

Half a year after the end of the Campaign, we plan to make Jerzy Świrski available in exchange for Coal in the Armory. Thus, you'll be able to get this Commander at a later date, even if you don't manage to finish the Strong-Willed Campaign.

If you haven't done so yet, select several tasks from the Campaign that you like, and earn extra prizes in Random Battles.

European Destroyers: Branch Review

Features of the New Tech Tree Branch ● Tactics ● Commander Skills and Upgrades
Features of the New Tech Tree Branch
• Their torpedoes' long range, fast reload, and high speed are balanced by the relatively limited damage they can inflict. The torpedoes can be set to fan out in two spreads: narrow or super narrow.
  • Good AA defenses with a solid reach.
  • Destroyers of Tier VIII and above are equipped with the Defensive AA Fire consumable.
  • Ships of Tier VII and higher are equipped with rapid-firing main battery guns that are effective at short distances. Exchanging fire over long distances is less comfortable due to the arcing trajectory of the shells and the guns’ limited firing range.
  • Despite lacking Smoke Generator, they enjoy good concealment—Halland's is as low as 6 km.
  • Destroyers of Tier V and above have access to the Repair Party consumable. It restores 1% of any lost HP per second and has an action time of 10 seconds. At Tiers VIII–X, the active duration of the consumable is 14 seconds.
Tactics
Don't jump straight into capturing a Key Area at the very beginning of the battle! Your ship's relatively small HP pool combined with the lack of Smoke Generator will make you an easy target for the enemy team.

Take advantage of your good concealment and your main weapon—fast torpedoes. Help your team detect enemy ships, and carry out surprise attacks.

Keep in mind that your torpedoes’ excellent range and speed, as well as their fast reload time, are compensated for by their low damage. You may need to conduct several attacks in order to destroy a battleship.

Towards the end of a battle, rush to capture Key Areas.

The ships’ good artillery and access to the Repair Party consumable will help if you get into any brawls with your opponents. However, you would be well-advised to avoid engaging several ships at once.

It's usually wise to stay closer to your allies when you come under attack from enemy aircraft, but that's not the case for European destroyers! The ships’ good AA defenses, together with Defensive AA Fire when playing ships of Tier VIII and above, will allow you to effectively fend off any enemy squadrons.
