Citizens and Helldivers, it’s Liberty Day! Every year on October 26th, we celebrate the anniversary of Managed Democracy on Super Earth, where they fought from the darkness into the light of Freedom.

Our veteran Helldivers are familiar with our most important holiday, but as we prepare to launch HELLDIVERS™ 2 next year, we’re also welcoming a whole new generation of players to celebrate with us.

So what is Liberty Day? We had a chat with founder Malin Hedström, Lucy Armelin from community & support, and narrative lead Nils Hansson Bjerke about the inspiration behind the holiday, both in-game and out.

Be the hero of Super Earth, defender of Freedom, herald of Managed Democracy.
Team-up with your fellow Helldivers and fight more than just bugs: now the Automaton faction has emerged to threaten our liberty.

Descended from the Cyborgs, an old enemy familiar to our HELLDIVERS community, these mechanized killing machines are determined to wipe out the Super Earth way of life.
The bots are an intelligent and relentless foe, you and your squad will have to gather your most powerful weapons and strategize on how best to wipe them out.



It won’t be long before you and up to three recruits can team-up for online cooperative multiplayer.

Unleash large-scale destructive power through stratagems, explore unique planets and complete objectives together, and upgrade your equipment through the deep progression system of HELLDIVERS™ 2. Collect natural resources of alien origin and use them to enhance and unlock new stratagems aboard your ship.



The planning for liberty starts today as you need to choose between the Standard Edition and the Super Citizen Edition of HELLDIVERS™ 2, which includes some awesome additional content!

The extra goodies in the Super Citizen Edition include a special “DP-53 Savior of the Free” armour set, and – because heroes wear capes – the “Will of the People” cape to make you stand out among the liberated.

You’ll also gain access to the “MP-98 Knight” submachine gun, which is a powerful primary weapon that tears through bots and bugs – oh, and Helldivers as well because of fatal friendly fire.

Helldivers 2 just got a release date reveal at the Sony State of Play. As of right now, we now know that Arrowhead Game Studios' alien shooter will be dropping for PC and PS5 on February 8.
