Not only did we set a new Steam concurrent player peak record but we also smashed through the Naval concurrent players record not once but twice![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Today we're dishing out a few additions and some fixes to tackle the more troublesome bugs some players have been facing on PC and Console. From bugged water causing mega Tsunami's to Sailors sliding aboard we've done our best to tackle em all.[/p][p][/p][p]One addition worth mentioning with this fix and one that we're certain will be most welcomed is the introduction of new sustained notes for the instruments. This will allow for even more majestic music playing when using the custom song system. [/p][p][/p][p]We've also introduced our new Content Creator rewards for those who are taking part in our programme. Seeing all the videos since release has been a real joy for all of us on the team and helps spread the great Holdfast community to an even wider audience. Age Of Sail is a major expansion for Holdfast, releasing for free as a show of thanks to our beloved community. Master the fleet and command 7 different vessels, including the brand new 8-Gun Corvette and 17-Gun Brig Sloop and crew the decks with a variety of classes with unique weaponry, tools and abilities. 15 entirely new maps have been introduced, and we've also undertaken some hefty reworks of legacy maps to bring them up to standard. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Ram and board enemy vessels and battle on crowded decks for supremacy in some total naval warfare. Ship damage has also been entirely reworked to now include full repairing mechanics and resource management. Be sure to put every crew member to work to keep the ship afloat. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]As always with any Holdfast update, at the core is the community and roleplay features, and Age Of Sail certainly has plenty. From the new accordion sea shanty karaoke system, gestures, ship orders and the ability to now play custom songs on instruments. All this truly brings an unforgettable naval experience.
