HOTFIX R.2.2.0.0

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]This is a hotfix for patch R.2.1.0.0 that includes a few bug fixes and quality of life updates.[/p][p][/p][p]We saw comments and reports that since implementing Render-Scale & DLSS/FSR options, some players were experiencing worse performance.[/p][p][/p][p]After some investigating, we determined that the issue was related to a mismatch between Render-Scale values. To fix this, we have now added a Default option inside the Render-Scale settings, which should use the same value that was used in previous builds. Additionally, we have also added more Render-Scale values to select from.[/p][p][/p][p]We have also updated the Anti-Aliasing option in the Graphics menu to highlight that the currently selected AA-Method gets disabled when using DLSS/FSR.[/p][p][/p][p]If you would like to return to your previous settings from before Patch R.2.1.0.0, make sure the following settings are set to these values:[/p]
  • [p]Anti-Aliasing: TAA[/p]
  • [p]Render-Scale: DEFAULT[/p]
  • [p]DLSS/FSR: FALSE[/p][p][/p]
[p]This patch may reset some of the values in your Graphics settings. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thank you all for the feedback and information, which helped us find the culprit. :) [/p]
  • [p]Added: More Render-Scale increments added (50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100)[/p]
  • [p]Added: Render-Scale Default setting added, which will match what your previous value prior to patch 2.1.0.0.[/p]
  • [p]Added: Automatic Render-Scale option switched from 100 to DEFAULT.[/p]
  • [p]Improved: Anti-Aliasing option gets disabled when enabling DLSS/FSR.
    [/p]
[p]Note: The Default Render-Scale option will use a value unique to your system, based on factors such as your GPU & Resolution. Your Default may not be the same as someone else's. [/p][p][/p][p]------------------------------[/p][p][/p][p]Please note that the following changes only affect the Windows Store version and not Steam or the console builds:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed: DLSS not working as intended for users playing on the Windows Store version of the game.[/p]

TRAILER CONTEST - WINNERS

[p]Hi everyone, Raw Fury here![/p][p]We’ve officially reached the final stage of the ROUTINE Trailer Contest, and we can honestly say that choosing the winners was no easy task.[/p][p]We’ve seen so many incredible trailers, and we can’t thank you enough for the creativity and effort you poured into your work, especially within such a short timeframe.[/p][p]And now… It’s time to reveal the winners![/p][p][/p]
Community winner
[p][/p][p]This winner was decided by you through the public vote, and the trailer that received the most votes was created by… Ray![/p][p]Congratulations! We’ll be reaching out to you very soon.[/p][p][/p]
Raw Fury winner
[p]Next, it was our turn to make a decision, and trust us, it was a tough one. After a lot of discussion, our selected winner is… Lespi![/p][p]Huge congrats! We’ll be contacting you shortly.[/p][p][/p]
Lunar Software winners
[p][/p][p]Finally, the remaining winners were chosen by the team at Lunar Software, who carefully reviewed every submission and picked the ones that stood out the most to them.[/p][p]Here’s a message from them:[/p][p][/p][p]Hey all! This is Aaron and Jemma from Lunar Software.
[/p][p]We sat down this week and spent about six hours watching everyone's submissions, writing notes, rewatching them, writing more notes, arguing, getting inspired, and simply just... smiling.[/p][p]We felt so much joy experiencing each entry that we honestly wish we could have given all of you a prize, even those who did not get a slot in the voting. [/p][p]Sadly, we had to narrow it down to just a handful of great videos, but not before adding one extra runner-up![/p][p]So with that being said, here are our winners.[/p][p][/p]
Main winner
[p][/p][p]This is why TheDarkZEK won our vote.[/p][p]1. The opening shots were very well directed. Actually seeing the player walk into the scene showed a lot of thought and effort.[/p][p]2. The camera work was very clean throughout the entire trailer.[/p][p]3. While it did feel more digital than analogue, the transitions, censoring, and general glitching were used beautifully and with great timing.[/p][p]4. The overall pace and tone of the trailer were spot on.[/p][p]Overall, it was hard to fault this entry, and we would not be surprised if TheDarkZEK worked professionally as a video editor of some kind, as it was just so well put together.[/p][p][/p]
Runner-ups
[p][/p][p]1. The transition near the beginning with the hollyhock was probably our favourite transition of all the submissions. The timing, choice of scenes, and audio work were fantastic. I am jealous that we did not think of it for one of our own trailers.[/p][p]2. While we understand that the song was created by Dufix and that it's great, from a creative direction standpoint, it did not align with ROUTINE’s setting and overall tone. That said, we truly appreciate the time and effort you put into creating such an awesome track yourself, which was of a high standard.[/p][p]Overall, this trailer was very well put together, from the pacing and shot selection to the transitions and even the audio treatment applied to the existing assets throughout.[/p][p] [/p][p]1. The rotation transitions were a pleasure to watch, especially the tram shot.[/p][p]2. This whole trailer had an almost melancholic feel to it that was lovely to see.[/p][p]3. We also enjoyed the PRISM quotes scattered around, which added a bit more to the world.[/p][p]The first half of the video left a very strong impression.[/p][p] [/p][p]1. The entire idea of the trailer was very unique: "a video dedicated to hiding spots". What a simple but brilliant idea.[/p][p]2. The softer tone to the trailer was refreshing, almost relaxing.[/p][p]This trailer was a really creative idea that put a genuine smile on our faces the whole way through.[/p][p][/p][p]1. If Ave Maria had been used without any attempt to adjust it to fit ROUTINE, we may not have enjoyed it. However, Noji made a great switch that transformed the trailer from a beautiful journey through Union Plaza into a horror-induced panic.[/p][p]2. The pacing was strong, the shots were lovely, and the triple C.A.T. transition was a nice idea.[/p][p]The decision to edit the track later in the video worked extremely well and elevated the whole trailer.[/p][p][/p][p]----------------------------------------[/p][p][/p][p]Congratulations to all the winners! We’ll be reaching out soon to collect your details and send your prizes your way. As a reminder, here’s how the prizes are distributed:[/p]
  • [p]Community winner: IC plushie + Raw Fury key + $75 voucher (Steam or Xbox)[/p]
