Unreal Engine 5 beta build available for testing!
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Hey everyone, the Unreal Engine 5 update for cyubeVR is progressing well!
This has been in the works for quite a long time: Finally updating cyubeVR from Unreal Engine 4.27 to Unreal Engine 5.6. [/p][p]This should just be just a very quick update post to notify people who might not be in the cyubeVR Discord: Since a few weeks, there is a UE5 beta build available for testing! Beta testers in the cyubeVR Discord have already tested it a lot and given a lot of feedback, but more people testing it is always helpful.
Moving from Unreal Engine 4.27 to Unreal Engine 5.6 at once is really a very big jump. The biggest engine update ever for cyubeVR! After such a big engine update, at first nothing works any more, and at the beginning it was nice to see at least see a few triangles render at all. So then there was a lot of work of getting everything as close as possible to fully working again. By now, after many many months of works on this, most things should work well again. The goal is that nothing becomes worse or slower in any way with the engine update - it should become a new very nice and solid base the game.[/p][p]If you are interested in trying out the UE5 beta build before it officially releases as Update 59 and give feedback, then please come join the official cyubeVR Discord, get yourself the beta tester role, read through the long list of beta build patch notes in #beta-build-patch-notes and then give all your feedback in the #beta-build-discussion channel :)[/p][p]Cheers![/p][p][/p][p]
